I know I do not post much here but I do read the forums several times a day.The reason for my posting this is really quite simple, I am older than most who play this game(52) and have enjoyed playing this game since day 1.

To make a long story short I have been diagnosed with the big C, not sure what type or severity just yet.I will be disappearing in a few days when I check into the hospital,I have set my teams up to be around for at least 2 more seasons.

Please understand that II am not looking for sympathy or trying to pull the wool over someones eyes. This is more of a heads up that I am typing with a heavy burden on my mind so please don't take this the wrong way.

Until they call my number at the hospital I will continue to play and enjoy the game. One more thing I have played in several leagues but have enjoyed Oceania the best.

Peace to all and happy holidays,
TCR

TCR-

Thoughts and prayers with you. Hope things turn out well. We are lucky to be living in the 21st century, and cancer treatments have progressed amazingly in the past 20 years.

Keep the faith!

Im an anatomic pathology manager at a medium sized hospital, Ive been in this business for 22 years. Perspective is better than any medical diagnosis. If you ever have a question on the next step, what your diagnosis means or anything like that feel free to PM me.

Thoughts and prayers are with you for sure. And I think you would be surprised of how many old farts also play the game.

Hang in there, I am a big believer in the power of positive thinking.

52 seems so young, but cancer can strike any time to anybody I suppose. I need to quit smoking myself...I hope you can battle through and continue owning a team that makes me pull my hair out every season. This game is small stuff when you step back and look at the big picture, but that doesn't change the fact that we all invest a lot of energy and effort into it. Your efforts have made your team better every season, and they're on the brink of WL level. I really hope you have a swift and speedy recovery, and kick the cancer's ass like you kick my team's ass every season.
