Do anyone have certain things they must do during this holiday

Maybe when I was young, and thanksgiving was more often than not at the parents house. But, alas, things like work keep me away from dad and his turkey fryer during the thanksgiving holiday.

I did used to demand that mom makes apple mallow yams. Greatest thanksgiving day food, period. And boy where they good for the next few days after.

Deep fried turkey is so good!

Im doing a beer can turkey on my smoker this year. Should be pretty good

You take a can of beer(i like Fosters since you need a BIG can). Cut the top off of the can, put spices and a couple garlic cloves in the beer. Then stuff the can up the turkeys ass so that the turkey will stand up strait. Stick it in the smoker on 250 for about 3-4 hours. Eat. Profit.

I find that hilarious, and tasty too, although if I made that I think I would be drunk off my ass by the time the bird is finished because I don't have the patience to sit around and wait for a smoker, good thing deep fried turkey only takes like an hour max for a big bird, can't drink TOO much beer in one hour

OH, i will be drunk by the time its done. Ill start it about 10am and be ready to eat by 3:00. My Lions should be losing 35-10 by then

I usually go visit family for Thanksgiving, but this year I'm staying and spending it w/ friends. I'm going to bring a part of my family's tradition to the table though - I made cheese grits.
