Game Of The Week
Pudong Skyfire (1-0) v Woody Island Wolverines (0-1)
This is an easy GoTW choice as it is imo the best matchup in Naga this time out. Pudong was in an absolute dogfight with the Empire, but they came out with both collars. The Wolverines meanwhile seem to have forgotten their game with Buffalo was 4 quarters instead of 3, but hey they looked great for 3. You know WIW wants to be moving on up like the Jeffersons http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9y4iXAso4I and not in an 0-2 hole to start. Sainte Foy Cyclones (1-0) v Portland Dirty Penguins (1-0)
SFC has yet to start their season for real with a free pass week 1, while PDP earned a respectable win versus Quad Cities. Last season, PDP won the matchup 20-16. Bacolod is another of those teams that basically got a bye for week 1, but now they’ll have to play someone that fights back a little bit. Chi-Town looks like they decided to flip the on switch after a bleh preseason while the Monks just never turned theirs off. HKH racked up a routine win game one while Guam has established a new routine of not winning as they promoted a bit early. These two traditional powers are both looking to step back up into the spotlight this season after a few lackluster years. So far Pa Dong is doing just that some what appears to be actual gameplanning *gasp*. The Cult pretty much just blew up their first opponent while the Drinkers found out that those Brown Cows are for real. How ‘bout them Bones? They looked damn good week one. To be fair, the Baggers had a substantially more difficult opponent in their shutout loss. Atlantic Great Whites (1-0) v Buffalo Knights (0-1)
Atlantic impressed and surprised me against CMM. Buffalo meanwhile ran up against a resurgent Dong squad but played tough D. This should be a very watchable game. The Cows looked very impressive in the first real game of the season while Krakow ran up against The Cult buzz saw. I might get a little easier this week but still pretty nasty start to the season. Ok, so the Storm have a better record than the Empire. TKW is one of many lolgaruda teams to lose their first game but one of the few to look good doing it. LSS is more in the other category. Mandalay King Cobras (0-1) v Quad Cities Quarantine (0-1)
