I'd like to know what the point of diminishing returns is for vision as it applies to CBs (and safeties)

In other words, at what point will points put in vision start to have little to no effect? (and be better put in other attributes)

... Will 80 vision suffice on CBs and Safeties?

Well there is no such thing as diminishing returns for physical attributes. But as for cost-efficiency, I'd stop putting sps into vision around 77 for DBs.

So in your opinion ~80 vision is sufficient to pass most of the vision checks a DB will see?

Sure. Aim for 80+ in addition to 15 Football Genius and you should be good.

There are no black and white answers. If you build the same CB as everyone else, you will have the same strengths and vulnerabilities as everyone else. If you do something different, you may have some strengths that others lack and weaknesses where are others are strong.

In this game where so many folks are playing "follow the leader," it can be advantageous to present a different set of challenges than the other 15 teams in your conference.

The biggest downside to walking a different path is the potential unwillingness of coaches to take a chance on something different.

I agree with this for the most part, but when it comes to Vision, I think my advice is solid for all CB builds. Going higher is certainly a possibility depending on your build plan, but he seemed interested in the minimum, so I told him 80 plus max FG.

I just wanted to know how high most builders these days are taking Vision. Since Vision works differently than Agility, Speed, Jumping, etc, it makes sense to me that going with 90, 95, 100+ Vision doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But I dunno. I can't run tests in the sim.

You can run the same tests that everyone else can....move some EQ around and try it!

I have at least one CB over 95 vision right now and a safety with over 100 fwiw.
