SEA Pro Season 19 WAY Too Early Naga Predictions

Note: these numbers are based on early preseason and are likely to change at least somewhat as SPP are applied and any remaining roster spots filled.

Further disclaimers: these are meant to be fun only, so don’t take it personally if your team is lower than you expect. All whining will be ignored...

Legit Contenders: Naga looks to be wide open this season, so this category is bigger than usual.

1. Woody Island Wolverines
Owner/co-Owner: Tarheels3
TPC/APV: 54/1047.65
Last Season: 9-7 in SEA Pro, lost in third round to Krungthep Garudas (WL)
Prognosis: Something clicked (or maybe was switched on) at playoff time last season. They even gave historic powerhouse Krungthep a battle during their deep run. I expect them to pick up where they left off and win a lot of games. Prediction this season: conference title game and maybe beyond.

2. Palembang Drunken Monks
Owner/co-Owner: Boomy DTD and Texan DTD
TPC/APV: 55/1096.86
Last Season: 13-3 in SEA Pro, lost in second round to WIW
Prognosis: Upset by the Wolverines last season in the second round, the Monks finally look to have everything they need to make a deep playoff run. Do the Monks have the eye of the tiger this season? I think so... Prediction this season: conference title game and maybe beyond.

3. Pudong Skyfire
Owner/co-Owner: topdawg88 and jwheelie12
TPC/APV: 55/1078.99
Last Season: 13-3 in SEA Pro, lost first round to the Wolverines
Prognosis: Pudong looked great last year before they ran into a surprise playoff upstart. They are back as talented as anyone in SEA this time around and are a strong contender to lay down some law. Prediction this season: second round of playoffs.

4. Portland Dirty Penguins
Owner/co-Owner: amo368 and Boomy DTD
TPC/APV: 53/1027.28
Last Season: 11-5 in SEA Pro, lost first round to the Monks
Prognosis: PDP (the last original SEA Pro team) has spent a few seasons rebuilding and even put together an 11 win season in the process. This season their dots have matured and they are a threat to anyone. amo has put together a team that should contend for seasons to come. Prediction this season: second round of playoffs.

5. Tiny Hobo Cult
Owner/co-Owner: MGood30 and Loco Moco
TPC/APV: 55/1107.4
Last Season: 12-4 in SEA Pro, lost in second round to Krungthep (now in WL)
Prognosis: Looking very strong with top tier Pro talent. Those hobos are absolutely loaded. They have the potential to beat anyone when they get their planning in order. Prediction this season: first round of playoffs, but could threaten to win it all.

6. Hong Kong Hustlers
Owner/co-Owner: Epark88 and seahawks 3726
TPC/APV: 55/1077.28
Last Season: 13-3 in SEA Pro, lost first round to CoP (now THC)
Prognosis: HKH has had a couple of very nice seasons since initially struggling in the Pros. They look very good once again and are in the legit contender category. Something has been missing in their playoff formula however. Prediction this season: first round of playoffs.

Almost There: This group has potential but I don’t think can threaten for a title as of yet.

7. Victoria Teabaggers
Owner/co-Owner: jtrav21 and Rayzerx
TPC/APV: 55/1075.02
Last Season: 9-7 in SEA Pro
Prognosis: BIG improvement for the baggers last season and they finished strong, a great sign. I see them taking that next step forward this season if they can maintain focus. Prediction this season: first round of playoffs.

8. Pa Dong Dragons
Owner/co-Owner: Voltron and LucaBrasi
TPC/APV: 49/1086.6
Last Season: 9-7 in SEA Pro, lost first round to the Krungthep Garudas (now WL)
Prognosis: Pa Dong, a longtime SEA institution has had the talent for some time now but just hasn’t put things together for some reason. I think they once again are a potential playoff team but they’ll probably have to wait until the final week to find out. Prediction this season: first round of playoffs.

9. Cambodia Mountain Men
Owner/co-Owner: syrk08
TPC/APV: 55/1026.07
Last Season: 2-14 in SEA Pro
Prognosis: CMM was once feared each and every week by anyone who played them here in SEA Pro. They have struggled mightily for the past many seasons but looks to finally have the talent to compete once again. I think we’ll see a step forward similar to the baggers of last season. Prediction this season: just miss the playoffs.

A Ways Off Yet: This group could surprise and make the playoffs, but not a huge chance imo.

10. Orlando Praying Mantis
Owner/co-Owner: fakie92
TPC/APV: 50/1045.91
Last Season: 15-1 in AAA, lost in third round to Algoma Beach Tokers (now in WEPL)
Prognosis: Ok, I admit to often underestimating new teams that I don’t know much about, but I’m putting them here on the strength of past performance at the AAA level. Prediction this season: 2 games out of the playoffs.

11. Golden Hill Bones
Owner/co-Owner: ford351c594 and isamurai
TPC/APV: 55/1047.64
Last Season: 6-10 in SEA Pro
Prognosis: The Bones put together a respectable season last time out. They have the talent to do better than where I have placed them, but in a tough SEA there is much parity. Prediction this season: a couple of games out of the playoffs.

12. Saint Foy Cyclones
Owner/co-Owner: jay71 and Adamsfore
TPC/APV: 52/1014.7
Last Season: 5-11 in SEA Pro
Prognosis: Much like the Bones, SFC was competitive last season and could be dangerous this time out. They haven’t shown me enough to put them higher yet however. Prediction this season: a few games out of the playoffs.

13. Bacolod Skullcrushers
Owner/co-Owner: dano6482
TPC/APV: 47/1037.41
Last Season: 4-12 in SEA Pro
Prognosis: Bacolod has been around for a long time and had some fine seasons. Last season was not one of them, but they will fight and scrap and have a lot of character. I see them doing slightly better than last time, but still not there yet. Prediction this season: well out of the playoffs.

Not Much Chance: The title says it all.

14. Beer Drinkers, Hell Raisers, and Mom
Owner/co-Owner: hatchman and Kirghiz
TPC/APV: 51/1020.57
Last Season: 12-4 in AAA, lost third round to Car Ramrod (now USA Pro)
Prognosis: This team is well run and I know Kirghiz especially knows his shit. However, BDHRM has the look of a team that was promoted one season too early. Prediction this season: well out of the playoffs.

15. Chi-Town Hustlers
Owner/co-Owner: Sirwin and Rikkhen
TPC/APV: 50/1020/15
Last Season: 3-13 in SEA Pro
Prognosis: CTH avoided relegation last season and will fight to once again do the same. They could surprise a few people though. Prediction this season: trying to avoid relegation.

16. Guam Tigers
Owner/co-Owner: Reggie Sanders and DrJeep
TPC/APV: 54/1007.29
Last Season: 12-4 in AAA, lost in first round to Tasmanian Muskrats (now in OPL)
Prognosis: Guam, much like the Drinkers, are a team yanked out of AAA too early. They will struggle this season but I’ll be interested to see what upsets they can pull. Prediction this season: trying to avoid relegation.

One of those games counted for a lot more than the other.

My point is not that Pudong isn't good--they are extremely good. My point is that there should be no lol next to WIW...

neither of us went to WL, so none of the games really counted for anything

if anybody aside from the garudas had a chance last season I would see your point, but nobody truly did

Not sure how the Garudas are relevant to a discussion of WIW > lol. When Pudong and WIW played, I am assuming they were both trying to win. If Pudong's attitude was that "oh hey, the Garudas are going to win, let's mail in this first round game", then you are seriously lacking in competitive spirit. I don't think that's the case.

I'm going to reserve comment about Hobo's ranking other then to say...but we are a very different team this season then last, we've upgraded every set of positions we have except for Oline and Safties...they are still the same.

I'll shoot to exceed the expectations above

WiW had a 20 point lead at halftime against the garudas, if it werent for a few costly TO's then it would have been even closer. Either way WiW didnt expect to be in AAA 2 seasons ago, and especially pro last season, so even if we did go to WL it would have been less than ideal for us again. We kept the same core players together from our first season, added a few agents along the way, but are still under leveled compared to the fully stocked lvl 72 team. Half our guys didnt even have level 64 eq when we played you the first time. What a world of difference a few SP's make huh?????

I will concede to that point yes, we were trying to win

though for that game our GP was a bit weird, but I'm just trying to say lets not OVER hype woody just because they managed a few upset wins

I mean cmon, HKH had like 13 upset wins last season

but yeah we will watch out for woody, just not sure if they're #1
