I'm bored, so I thought I'd give a quick preview of Season 19. You'll have to pardon me if I screw up the west, well, because I really don't care about the west, but I didn't want to leave them out. I think the west is stronger at the top but the east is better in the middle. Think of it as a beer gut. The west has big boobies.

To start, here's everyone's effective level as of Day -7:

Rank Team Players Avg Level Avg Value Eff Level Salary
1 South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice 55 72 1127 75 $20,286,000

15 California Black Hand Kings 55 71 1062.28 74 $25,010,000
16 Cincinnati Shockers 55 72 1062.02 74 $21,365,000
17 D.C Baby Sloths 54 73 1061.72 74 $8,140,000
18 Pittsburgh Steel Curtain 46 71 1056.34 74 $17,266,200
19 Coalville Colliers 51 71 1054.45 74 $21,437,800
20 Mendoza Marios 51 71 1047.88 74 $18,577,200
21 Guam Gorillas 55 71 1047.18 74 $23,600,000

24 Texas Militia 55 69 1017.94 74 $23,954,440
25 Spokane Privateers 55 69 1017.85 74 $23,240,000
26 Detroit Reservoir Dogs 55 67 1011.76 74 $18,430,720
27 Buffalo Blizzard 55 69 1008.76 74 $20,547,520

30 Car Ramrod 54 65 975.35 74 $20,370,000
31 Arnprior Muskrats 53 62 929.67 73 $16,860,000
32 San Diego Lightning 55 62 905.26 71 $25,440,000

That helps some, but here's how I see it going in:

1. Chicago Hedgehogs - Wise and the crew are back, but probably not for long. Only question is whether 2 HB's will be enough in a season where running and checkdowns are likely to be more important? I'm stretching to make that a concern. Looks like they have the makings of a great team.

2. South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice - Man I hate coinflip games. We are the worst team in the history of GLB in coin-flip games. Maybe that means I suck as an OC. Probably. We're here until we win our way to the WL.

3. Monmouth Evil Monkeys - Probably the biggest challenge to the Hedgehogshounds in the west, but will have to revert to earlier form (like season 9) to make the jump. Haven't seen the fight in them to get there since coachviking became a mod, tbh.

4. Humbolt Killer Hornets - Great team, and well built. The average effective level is a little misleading with them. They gameplan well and have great dots, but probably built a little unorthodoxly. That's not a word, but I'm sticking with it. Only concerns I see are only 1 FB and several guys who have gone very inactive. Probably won't matter with extended plateau, but I prefer active dots over inactive dots.

5. KKAR - Love me some KKAR. If they care, they could jump up this list. Probably don't. 3 seed and a couple playoff games sounds about right. Noodle. Did I say that right?

6. Cincinnati Shockers - I know I'm selling them short. They probably deserve to be top-4, and I'm letting effective level mean too much. They're going to get quite a few boosts, so that will shoot up, but they might still be a little young to crack the top 3. Or I could just be an idiot.

7. Rhode Island Red Wolves - cwrujosh was a mouse way back in season 2 until he bought the Wolves (they were the Mozilla Firefox at the time) and went his own way. I can remember that crap but not what I'm supposed to do at work today. I'm getting old.

8. GROWL - Solid team, but still with a couple holes to fill. Tough to get to this point and still only have 1 TE and 4 LB's, but they'll be fine. Will push for a home playoff game, but I think they fall a little short.

9. All The Kings Men - King of Bling's guys will rise back to some glory after being the 8 seed last season. I have them with a home playoff game and a ticket to the second round. Mice/Hornets there will probably be too much, though.

10. Chico High Panthers - These guys have impressed me. I think they're a home playoff team in a watered down east this season. Could use a couple more guys on the roster for depth/special teams, but their gameplanning/etc should lead to some success this season.

11. A Team About Nothing - I think this is a team that could make a jump, and I think they make it this season. They are in a group of teams that could push for a great record this season. I could regret putting them this high though, tbh. They didn't beat a good team last season and to live into this ranking they're going to have to.

12. Philadelphia Pushovers - Last season's rookies had an off and on showing and I think they'll make the jump to a playoff team this season. Mainly because they still have Jed as a GM. I miss that guy.

13. Tennessee Fury - Perennial playoff team will be there again in S 19 and give a scare to whoever they play in the first round. I think Air puts together a good team and they should be a tough matchup week to week.

14. DC Baby Sloths - 12,13,and 14 are right there together and you can shake them up and spit them out in any order and I wouldn't argue. This was the order that they came out today. If I'm wrong, I'll fire the magic 8 ball.

15. California Black Hand Kings - Good team, good organization. Another early playoff exit though. Really, a lvl 59 and a lvl 60 on the roster? The P I can understand, but a HB?

16. Pittsburgh Steel Curtain - They grab the last playoff spot if they can fill out their roster. 46 is not quite enough to get it done, even this season. I have a lot of faith in jpjn94 and all, but they will need some more depth. If they get in the 50's on the roster, they're in. If not, it will be....

17. Atlantic City Affliction - They have the talent not to sweat out the last playoff spot, but they haven't shown any consistency. They will no doubt knock off some playoff teams this season, but they will also have a couple bad losses. If they got serious, they might even push for a home playoff game, I think they're that good, but I haven't seen them win the games they need to to get there.

18. CCIA - Another underachiever. The math says they should be much better than this, but they didn't show it last season. I always think they're going to be better than they end up being. I blame jpjn. Could make a jump, but I don't see it happening.

19. Coalville Colliers - Got better as the season went on last year, but still have a ways to go before they're a playoff team.

20. Mendoza Marios - Will be better this season, and by that I mean they won't be in the running to be demoted.

21. The CAVE - Also won't get demoted as they seem to be the best of the newbies.

22. Texas Militia - will battle the Cave for the title of best newbie. Not a good sign to go into the season listing QB as a need while you have a full roster.

23-30. Spokane, Detroit, Detroit, Car (what's with the auto theme?), Buffalo, Amprior, Guam, San Diego. Guam's probably the best of this group, but they are all fighting not to be 15th in their conference. Math says Jaxx's squad in SD will be next to last in the East, but he knows enough about what it takes to win here to squeak out a win he shouldn't get. I think/hope he sticks around.

31. San Antonio - 35 Guys, CPU Players. Going back down. #16 in the East.

32. Nebraska Tornadoes - Bunch of inactives, incomplete roster. They're done. #16 in the West

Well, that's what I think I think. Flame away.

Hedgehogs #1 = quality rankings imo.

I'd prolly put the Shockers/MEM/Kampers as 2/3/4 in the west personally.

Seriously you don't know Car Ramrod??

We asked to be promoted to AAA last season, we got skipped because of our age, then ended up winning our conference. We are here and hope to not be the bottom 2, and we should do a bit better than that. Gonna be a long season.

I did give MEM a dot so that could offshoot our connection w/ the Hedgehogs... hell, I think South Georgia has 2 of mine this season... that's as many as I have on my own Hounds.

1. KKAR - 4 DotA dots
2a. South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice - 2 DotA dots and i'll give them the edge over MEM
2b. Monmouth Evil Monkeys - 2 DotA dots
4. Chicago Hedgehogs - 1 DotA dot
5-32. Everybody else - 0 DotA dots

KKAR has twice as many DotA dots as 2nd place... they obviously have this in the bag.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. Too bad our dots are going to get a solid gut punch in week one.

Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts. Hopefully we will be good enough to not get demoted.
