I'm starting a hybrid, mobile QB and I was wondering should I boost him to lvl 4 before the start of the next season? Or should I leave him at lvl 1? He is on a lvl 4 capped team right now...

Just wanna know the best strategy for the future as well as now.

Thanks!

if you wait till the play-offs before boosting, you will be at a much higher level.
especially your first season, you will waste your boosts using them early, becuz at level one,
you will get to the next level in about 2 games... you don't want to waste that period of easy level gaining!

the higher you get in level, the less of a difference it makes if you wait to boost,
but in your first couple of season, it makes a big big difference, so wait till the play-offs!

the strategy i used was to wait til the play-offs to boost,
until i got to level 22. then i boosted immediately to start getting VA!

once you are getting down to near 100 xp per game, it doesn't make much of a difference anymore when you boost,
until you are getting 100xp a game, at which point it makes no difference at all
so you might as well do all your boosts right away...

this is my QBs 5th season coming up and i'm gonna boost day 1.
but if i hadn't been patient early on and waited till play-offs to boost, i'd definitely be a few level lower than i am now.

i would... i think darncat is confused. he is saying not to boost in the beginning of the season (ie next season), but it is okay to boost a new player in his first off season (ie created on day 41, boost on the last day of the off season before his first real season)... in fact, i would recommend it. it will give you about 1.5 levels over a dot that didnt boost. so its really up to you to decide as to whether 3 boosts is worth 1.5 levels. i like it if for no other reason than it being a safety net to make sure you get to lvl 72. it also offsets the cost of xp that you lose for boosting to 25 to start gaining Vxp (which you should also do.).
