I would prefer a starting role for my QB as he is yet to have a shot at a meaningful starting gig past level 45, and I don't mean start just to handoff and average 2 attempts per game and only start against teams to be blown out.
I'd also prefer to keep them together, but if that isn't possible then so be it.
