Third Season in OPL and have been getting gradually worse, despite this being season two of plateau.

WTF am I doing wrong?

Any sincere thoughts?

Cuz I'm at a loss.

Be honest, its not like I'm going to win out this season and contend for the title.

First piece of advice.. A 47 man roster is never ever a good thing. This would mean that 8 players that are starters or that should be sorta fresh are playing on special teams and getting gassed and not to effective when they play.. I would start there.

can't see builds, short 8 guys on the roster, 75% sure it's coordinating.

You definitely need to max out your roster, even if you are taking level 50 STOPs

The thing I've learned in my 1st season in Pro is to make sure your AI's are right. Any flaws there will be exposed quickly.

Also, teams are just flat out getting better. League reorganizations have greatly improved parity. We don't get the four or five 255-0 cupcake wins like we used to.

This. I came on to the OPL scene as the DC for the Austin Knights (who I took over ownership and changed the name to 6th St) at the tail end of season 15. Each season I felt we got better but each season the competition has gotten tougher and tougher. The OPL AAA teams coming up have been legit and the top teams are getting better too. The easy wins are just harder to come by. As a whole, I think OPL needs to keep getting better but we're closing the gap on some of the other Pro conferences slowly but surely.

But what does this really mean?

If the other team has no tendencies, what do you do? If you have no tendencies, how can they game plan you?

And if they show tendencies and then do something else?

There is something to the AI game I just do not grok.

i think you should concentrate on the full roster first before worrying about your AI. Your AI might be fine, but playing with players extremely gassed because they're playing ST as well can never be good for team performance imo.

I would go with a 40 man roster. Where others zig you need to zag. :-)

EVERY team has tendencies... EVERY SINGLE ONE.

how to win in glb
1. throw to single coverage
2. run where they ain't
3. don't single cover any wr's
4. blitz a lot
5. ?????
6. profit

One example would be having Inputs that you intended to be when the opposite team is 5 yards or less from scoring, but instead are when they are 95 yards from scoring. Or designing plays but leaving someone wide open by accident.

For example:

1. throw to single coverage depends on the corner/safety
2. run where they ain't
3. don't single cover any wr's double teaming quit working a few seasons ago.
4. blitz a lot seems to help
5. ?????
6. profit $ doesn't mean shit anymore

here's how you really win.

140+ str oline/dline
140+speed WR
130 speed/90 agility rbs with 15 spin
lb's and safeties with make tackle % 30+

decent DC that can put players where they need to be
oc that gameplans.

that's all. You'll win
