current level 30. I have 3 EQ's fully built. 2 BB, and 1 CN.

I have punting, confidence capped. Currently capping Vision, and have Strength trained to 41.

I rolled an equipment with +3 punting and 5% make tackle chance. 20 bonus tokens.

Should I go with it, and multi train speed, agility, tackling, jumping?

IMO there is no reason to have anything invested in make tackle chance. That might as well just be a +3 punting piece that you're paying too much for. I'd rather see a HT piece or just a flat +3 punting for 5 BT.

agreed. Would rather see HT as a 4th piece.

Is he a booster?

7 career boosts. And will probably for the rest of career.

he sat for 2 seasons super slow building back in the day. This is his 6th season. 209 days old.

I have another punter or kicker with decent tackling and speed, and he had 19 tackles last year.

After strength is trained to near the first cap, where should I put the training? Should I just train it on light until vision is capped?

With high strength and tackling, wouldn't a tackle from a kicker have a higher chance for fumble? Or would it be too small of an increase to notice?

No, I notice it firing since I've added it to my punter. It really does increase hang time (even if only by a few ticks) and helps the coverage team get downfield. Sure it won't boost your avg or increase the number of coffin corners you kick, but it makes your player better at his job.

As for the tackling, yes it's possible to build a P/K that makes tackles... but not necessary. A good coverage unit will take care of that for him, and they will be aided by points being spent in places other than speed/tackling.

I agree with this. No attributes matter other than Punting/Confidence/Vision/Strength, so I would be training whichever of those is lowest.

Sure, but the chance is still slim.

I just see no reason to focus on something that you shouldn't be worried about. The points and training you would spend trying to worry about making tackles or forcing fumbles would be better off used to make your punter punt better.

I think agi/spd/jum and perhaps even a bit of stamina are worth training when you're done with strength. I disagree with skeels on saying they don't matter.

agree with puma about the last few attributes: agility, speed, jumping, stamina. might as well train them up, i use SP on agility.

I think my punters and kickers average something like 1 tackle every 2 or 3 seasons the last 10 seasons of their careers.

I have one punter with 19 tackles last year and 33 total, but I don't recall the team circumstances last year. I don't know how unusual that is. And I do agree that is shouldn't come into play if the ST coverage is done right.

Thanks all for the discussion
