building a hard hitting CB and agility is not a major attribute, so how important is it? like maybe on a scale of 1 - 10.... I know I will have to work on it at some point but when?

probably about the same as it is for a normal CB. the HH CB on the cap 4 team im on is going to get his agility to 90-95... granted he follows the build plan i gave him.

Along the same lines, where o you guys see a HH Cb end Strength at... 60? 68? Most WRs are not hitting the juice. Maybe for HBs on sweeps?

Thanks...

Sorry if this steals your thread..

PS. I am not taking my agility super high, because I see my CB as more of a "missile" on a single collision path. If he has to do a bunch of side to side movements, then he isn't really playing as I intended his build to be. I think his agility is done at 68, but it has ALGed to 70 currently.
Obviously I am not an expert, but might be more than one way to skin this cat.

70+ for strength.

well agility isnt so that you move from side to side really well.... its so that you are able to keep up with your man when he makes cuts and such. agility also plays into acceleration... which plays into momentum.... which plays into KLs and FFs, so agility is still important. and if you cant keep up with your man, you probably wont be able to hit him ot begin with. especially since speed will also likely be bit lacking for this kind of CB. i wouldnt leave agility below 85 minimum for a man CB, but obviously, the higher the better, with 95-100 being really all you need, max, for just a plan old man cover shutdown CB. if you want to play zone however, you can roll with less agility.

as for how much strength you want... a lot more than 60, and still even more than 68. your PD score is likely going to be low, so you need a high KL score, and really 68 isnt going to cut it. maybe if you stop at 60 or 68, but with ALGs included, i would tell you to aim for 80 in both.

*NOTE: keep in mind this is for dots that had archetype ALGs for most if not their entire career, so if you are talking about an older dot, obviously their strength and tackling may not be quite as high.

So maybe my guy will be better in the Zone coverage defensive style. I don't see at this point getting 95 Agility and 78+ Strength. I still have tackling to address in there as well. I will roll with 2x %FFum AEQ and just hope for the best. If nothing else, I can use him on ST if I F him up too much.

Sorry, I forgot to say thanks for the advise either way!

what was your cap order? and what archetype are we dealing with here? i dont see you having any HH CBs... unless you are using a returner? or you are helping some one else with their build? but anyways, with a good cap order its actually pretty easy. i have a build plan for a CB with 130 sped, 90 agility, 83 strength, 83 tackling, 83 vision, 61 jumping, 55 stamina, 50 confidence, 3 SB, 5 SH, 9 SV, 2 SO, 9 SDC, 3 FS, 6 CD, 8 JH, and 8 MH.

and agreed. if nothing else, HH CBs will be very good options on STs.

Advising my brother on his build. I would have to ask him, but pretty sure he went Speed-74?/vision- 68?/Agility-68/strength currently, I think. Sometimes it's hard to keep him on task. A.D.D. I think.

k, for the build i listed above, im pretty sure i went tackling-61/strength-65/speed-81/vision-73/agility-68-SAs-rest in jumping (i trained stamina and confidence to 48+ with multi training)

the main problem i see with that cap order is, while it is a standard cap order for a man or zone CB, HH CBs have different ALGs, and so while it would be okay to start with speed and vision, agility should be after strength and tackling.

It depends on the rest of your team and how you are utilized.
