Forget "Game of the Week", this is easily the game of the regular season in the East. Last week I posted an early line favoring the All Stars by an eight point margin...22-13. After Week 11's games simmed, the spread tightened to just five points with Bloodweiser still expected to edge Village with a final score of 21-16. Both teams come into this game at 12-0 with a win each against Hub City. There is no reason to believe that the winner of this game won't lock up the #1 seed going into the playoffs while the loser will be firmly entrenched at #2. With all due respect to a very strong Hustlers team (and the rest of the East), I do expect this will be the first of two times that the All Stars take on the Dogs this season. Look for a rematch on Day 38 for the Conference Championship Silver Trophy. Did I say this already once, "Forget 'Game of the Week', this is easily the game of the regular season in the East." Same story, different conference. Last week I posted an early line favoring the Salty Dogs by a field goal...24-21. After Week 11's games simmed, the spread tightened to just a single point with St. John's still expected to edge Queensland with a final score of 23-22. Obviously, it doesn't get much closer. The Salty Dogs bring an unblemished record into this game, while the Exiles lone loss came in an inter-conference match-up with the Hub City Hustlers. Again, here is no reason to believe that the winner of this game won't lock up the #1 seed going into the playoffs while the loser will battle it out with Jebediah's, Montreal, & North Bay to hold onto the #2 seed. A) I agree. As good as the Dogs are, the All Stars appear to be fast-tracked back to the World League.

B) Hub City is, at worst, the third best team in the Eastern Conference. They lost to the Dogs by 20 and the All Stars by 49...and will presumably be the third seed in the playoffs. I think you'd agree that it's likely that Bloodweiser will win tomorrow and lock up the #1 seed meaning they'll face the #8 and #4/5 seeds in the first & second round and advance to the Conference Championship. How will the Hustlers overcome the nearly three-touchdown deficit to beat the Dogs and advance to face the All Stars?
