Wait for the end of the Gold regular season and see which teams have the overall best defenses in Gold and try to mirror one of them!

Yes, this means you actually have to do some work, but if you want it bad enough, you will do it. With some good scouting of games where Gold defenses takes on other good Gold teams, you can see how Gold teams usually build custom plays and see when we call certain plays in which situations. Then look at our LOL-bars and archetypes and try to figure out which skills they seem to favor.

If you spend enough time doing this and implement it on your Copper/Silver team, you will work out the bugs your 1st season with this defense and by the 2nd season, you will have a good defense.

Another trick is to build a player for a couple of the top Gold teams. No you wont get access to their AI's, but you will get access to their build templates and you can use those to figure out what you want on your team.

Bottom line is that if you want a good Pee-Wee defense, or offense, watch the top teams and try to really learn their system and mirror it.

Even easier: Higher a gold level DC

Most Gold DC's might get you to Gold, but once you are there, you are on your own. So it's best to learn for yourself, or hire a Gold level coordinator, but learn their system, don't just let them run your team for you.

I brought Gerr in to run my defense but also teach me....

I still think it's pretty hard to do this, because you don't know the tagging methods/coverage progressions.....

all the work that I have done as DC are all original and no copied plays ...all unique to the teams that I DC for and made up all by myself! ...ohh wait ...when did Revolver get demoted?!? ...what happened to AA's gold status?!?

I used to do this a few seasons ago. I had about 30 of my own plays that had different types of coverages, and blitz packages but I also found my weaknesses, and then went up to the top tier gold teams and saw what plays they used to stop it.

I will say that it isn't easy to match it. I lined up players similar to the the play, and then watched how it progressed to see who blitzed, covered HB/TE/FB, and then tried to pick it as a zone or man coverage for the Safeties if they didn't blitz.

In previous seasons I would disagree, but this season it's a different story. My team is just over .500 with top end Gold defense but only an average Gold offense while other teams like Project PeeWee Mayhem are doing much better with high end offense and average to below average defense...

It's becoming like madden tbh. Last year in madden, I held most teams under 10, sometimes even 3 points and needed about 17-20 points to win. Now, it's a shootout to see who can either make 1 stop or who gets the last possession.
