how many BTs do you need to fully upgrade your AEQ? and how many BTs do you have right now? that will influence the advice i give.

I would push speed & agility up to 80 natural, at least.

that is too much. just get then to the 77 cap. no reason to spend 6 for +1. after getting agility to 77, will be close to 83.. should then work to getting a bit more EQ there

There's no reason not to spend 6 skill points for another point in speed or agility. The speedster WRs you'll be covering will push speed to at least 83 if not 85. Stopping at 77 just means spending more points on jumping or SAs instead of speed.

get some more vision on your dude!!!

6 SP for +1 in speed or agility with that build right now would just be stupid bumping SDC up one would give you a much better return.

your dude has enough speed, needs a bit more agility and lots more vision, then start adding some Sa's and you'll have a beastly CB ...

remember your CB doesn't need to be as fast as a wideout, he just needs to be in the right position to defend the pass, or make the tackle right away

No, it actually wouldn't. I'm the one who discovered that the speed bonus from SDC is minimal. Furthermore, speedster receivers now have 140+ or even 150+ speed. The days of CBs getting by with 110 or 120 speed are over.

you do not need 140 speed to guard a receiver that fast ... agility = acceleration there fore unless you have NO pass rush WR's rarely get up to their full speed while running a route, so matching a WR's speed is worthless.

we are talking about the difference of how SP is used at this point and its stupid to use 6 SP to boost +1 speed or agility when you can use 6 SP for +2 vision or +2 SDC

I'm really not trying to bust your balls here, especially because I appreciate anyone who tries to take the time to help new people, but you don't know what you're talking about. I also happen to be the person whose tests proved that acceleration is not equal to agility. Agility and speed both affect acceleration, and you absolutely can reach maximum speed in 10-15 yards without high agility as long as you're traveling in a straight line. The only times a WR will fail to reach his full speed are if he didn't travel in a straight line long enough or if his energy is low.

His vision is already third-capped, which means that 1 point will cost him 4 skill points and not 3. Meanwhile SDC is probably the most overrated SA in the game based on the speed script tests I've done on it. Seriously, do whatever you want with your players, but the reality is that pretty much every WL cornerback will end up taking speed to at least the sixth cap, and I'm taking mine to the seventh. Because of the extreme speed of WL WRs and the shoddy way that corners cover routes with a horizontal component, the days of 110-120 speed cornerbacks at the World League level are simply over.

Corners already have 130+ speed, dude. And they already aren't fast enough.

Agility is kinda starting to suck for corners in comparison to speed . . . a 1:1 ratio used to work but doing that now will just result in getting smoked deep every play by 150+ speed receivers.

weird you came up with that
I remember a lot of people talking about it back in season 7, myself included. I mean, bort pretty much clarified it when he increased the reliance on agility to accelerate around then, by stating that he would make it rely less on speed and more on agility. Everybody went, "Oh maybe we need more than 60 agility with our epic 110 speed end build goals" (lolz)

As long as vision is "cheaper" to increase than speed its a MUCH better value for SP. A good CB is 50% build and 50% DC. That being said, you still dont need speed that high. a good CB will react to the ball sooner than a bad one, and while speed is one of the things that contribute to that its not the only ... balance still is key. 130 speed is more than enough ... especially when some CBs can still cover 130+ speed receivers with less than 100 speed ...

When did you "discover" this? A lot of good corner builders have known for a long time. And you can thank Longhorns fan for putting down every build with 140 speed and 70 agility, I feel so sorry for those guys in his CB private forum.Originally posted by Djinnt
