My lvl 47 shutdown corner has 15 in ballhawk and 15 in long reach, which VA should I start working on next?

basically it goes like this:
tier 1: ball hawk
tier 2: long reach, 3rd down stopper, football genius, clutch
tier 3: high jumper, red zone freak
you need ball hawk, then choose 2-3 from tier 2. then if you chose only 2 from tier 2, go with 1 from tier 3.
that being said, i love clutch.

imo, thats like saying you dont need jumping.

do you want it?? yes.
If I had 135 speed and 95 agility I wouldn't care about ball hawk for example. I'd rather raise something else that increases the likelihood of getting a deflection, like jumping, as opposed to more efforts to improve mobility.
But you will want ball hawk if you intend to have a more balanced build with less attribute focus on mobility.

even with 135 speed, i would still take ball hawk. but maybe thats just me and the way i like to play my CBs (~+60). i need that extra burst to the ball in order to make sure the WR doesnt get an easy completion every time.

makes sense. my point was just that nothing is required as long as you have some means of fulfilling each of your duties

As long as Bort codes CBs to trail the WRs on crossing routes, then Ball Hawk is more or less a necessity.

even with ball hawk you can get stuck on your own teammates and fail those routes anyway

Of course, and also many times the boost from Ball Hawk isn't enough to close the gap, but it still helps.
