The skill description says that the skill works for CBs in teams that rush a lot, Does it works for DEs too?

Does it work? Yes.

Does it work well and make any difference to the DE? No.

Not a popular choice amongst most DE builders. BB% or TV imo

Well, obviously ... but Blitz is an extra, and there aren't too many extra SAs to add to a DE ...

Here's the list of "recommended" ones ... what's the consensus from this list?

Balance
Big Hit
Blitz
Break Through
Closing Speed
Fire Up
Gang Tackle
The Glare
Relentless Pursuit
Snarl
Sticky Hands
Superior Vision
Trash Talk
Wrap Up Tackle

My suspicion that Blitz isn't good because it doesn't stack with other bonuses. I.e., when Blitz activates (all the time for DE since DE always "blitz" the QB) most other bonuses do not activate (FS, TV, etc.) That is why for those of us who test Blitz comes away with the impression that it sucks.

Why would you think that an "always on" SA would preclude activation of other SAs?

Also, I know with great and provable certainty that First Step will activate for dots that have the Blitz SA.

Good, share more of your knowledge. Like I said, this is a guess.

Why would I think that? Because it makes little sense for an SA, to boost both spd and agi, to suck like Blitz sucks.

The boost is not large, that is certainly true. But several of the very best pass rushers have used the Blitz SA.

I would say that if your speed and agility are already extremely high, then it gives you just a little bit of a push "over the top" so to speak.

I think it works better for LBs than DEs as they are more likely to come in untouched, though First Step is by far the more important SA for them as well.

Tunnel Vision seems to give a larger bonus (it is fairly apparent when it kicks in).


Just to be clear, it's not an SA that I put anywhere near the top of the list even for pure pass rushers.

All constant bonuses to attributes are fairly small, as far as I know. It's the exchange for having them always on instead of being chance activation.

Balance is always a good SA.

Eh, I don't know. I'm a bigger fan of getting your strength to a point where you're not worried about getting pancaked.

what about relentless pursuit? currently have it on my DE but with no points in as still putting points in normal SA's
