I'm currently working on a scrambling QB that can throw. Obviously he won't be a Peyton Manning nor do I want him to be a Michael Vick where his arm is unproven. I'm trying to strike some kind of balance. Any help would be appreciated as to what kind of direction I should head. I'm currently multi-training strength and agility while holding onto my SP until I can hit the first cap for speed.

You still want to make sure you are slow building and making the most of auto level gains.

Your QB won't be very good at throwing for a while but he'll be a lot better in the long run...

is there a direction you want to lean a bit more towards? passing or running? because that would influence cap order. im not talking like leaning to an extreme. i'll still make sure the build i throw out is fairly balanced, but given the way ALGs work, and given that to use them effectively, you have to pump one attribute at a time, it is pretty hard to go pure balanced.

Scrambling QB's very rarely work. It has come to the point that you either have a pure pocket or a pure runner. Keep in mind that you can't have a half way crook.

GLB is all or nothing, IMO

a scrambler needs to be able to pass in order to make tagging difficult.

It all depends on how much of each you want.

If you want to be a rusher who throws short passes or some kind of dual threat.

^this. if you are just a pure rusher, it makes things a lot easier for the defense to tag you. that isnt to say that you cant have success. i have seen pure rushers have good numbers in pro leagues (though none in WL that i know of). but being able to complete at least short little dinky passes will greatly increase your productivity.

the power running QB on my cap 4 team should have 100 strength and 70 throwing... and all he has to do is invest a grand total of ~15 SP into throwing after he 77 caps strength. i personally think that that is an extremely good investment.

If you take strength to 78 or so natural it will be 100 by the end build, which should be fine for dumping the ball off.
