I thought surge is suppose to trigger anytime an inside run is called where I do not get touched before hitting the line of scrimmage?

Unless that NT touched me right when i hit the line of scrimmage that that just sucks =P

Also can anyone confirm this, I know that increasing the levels of surge increases the acceleration boost received, but does it also increase that chance of it firing?

Shouldn't matter it should fire everytime you go untouched on an inside run

The SA description clearly states that additional levels increase the acceleration boost, so if you only have a few points in it then the acceleration bonus will obviously be hard to notice.

But every time it fires, the "Surge" logo should pop up, regardless of how high the acceleration bonus is

My guess is that it registers any tackle attempt as a "touch," and remember that tackle attempts can still happen even if a defender is engaged in a block.

Does anyone really like surge? I was thinking of adding it to my Elusive HB to make him a better inside runner. I'm on a good run blocking team.

I've got 4 points in on my elusive back now, and the times I've seen it trigger, you're definitely getting a yard or two more because of the acceleration boost. So if it's getting you a few more yards in a game, I'd say it's definitely working. Be interesting to see exactly how much acceleration boost that is later on when people start having 9/10 in surge.

The acceleration boost is the only reason you got anywhere at all on that play.

I like it. Seems to help with breaking tackles right after it fires as well.
