so I have been training strength for my Pass Blocking LOT so far. I am at 29.95.

I basically had as my Attribute Rankings at:

Strength
Agil.
Blocking
Vision
Confidence
Stamina
Speed

I went in to use my 20 SP's to hit the first soft cap since my training is at 95% and notice that Strength isn't even a "Yellow" star.

It has as Yellow: Agil, vision, conf. & blocking
Blue stars are: Strength, stamina & Speed.

This would put Strength ranked 4th. Is this right?

What would you rank a LOT's attributes at?

STR / AGI / BLK are an OL's primary attributes. The "stars" just denote where your automatic gains go each level, it doesn't mean Strength is any less important for a Pass Blocker. (Likewise, choosing a Run Blocker archetype doesn't magically make AGI less important.)

In terms of cap order, I'd put Agil, vision, conf. & blocking above strength.

Pass blocking LOT should go with
Agility
Blocking
Vision
Confidence
Strength.
Stamina
Speed.

Yes, we were giving the best way to get the most effective final build for a pass blocker archetype OT.

Of course, after vis and conf are up to the 2nd (or 3rd cap), return and drive strength to 74-77. I think the OP realises this. Maybe we should have dumbed our answers down a bit more though for cretins such as yourself?

Strength still needs to hit the 80's so you can bring it to halfway reasonable with equipment, minor attributes are fine hitting the 60's late in a career. Just because VIS and CON get the "major" gains now doesn't mean bringing them up first is the correct choice.

Yes they ARE vision and confidence are much more important as a pass blocker. No one is saying to ignore str. You work on it later when you need it.

Just because you are a pass blocker doesn't mean you wont have to run block unless you are really pass heavy or they come out with a custom slot. Also enjoy getting run over by smart high level RDEs.

You will be working on STR by the time the "smart" high level d.e's are there.

Pathetic argument. You can still get strength up to around 130 if you want using our method. And, more importantly, a build built in the correct cap order will be better.

I read this as "I've already screwed up my OT".

By the time you're Lv30, which is about the earliest you'll be able to start pumping your tertiary attribute (whether it be AGI or STR, depending on archetype), the ALGs are ~.28 for "majors" and ~.19 for "minors." Big fucking difference.

You go and pump those secondary attributes just because they're "majors," I'll pump STR instead. At the end of the day, you might have one extra total stat point... except my three's in STR and your four's split between VIS and CON. Marginal difference either way but, if you're nitpicky about 99.9% and 100%, I'm pretty sure I win this one. Hell, it's nearly the difference between 130 STR even being possible or not.

Vision past mid-60's is a joke anyway until they fix the OL doing retarded crap like trying to block across the line and failing miserably. I could have grandchildren playing this game by the time that happens.

All you need is 80 speed, problem solved

Bullshit.

Majors compared to minors is a big difference when you consider 40 levels of ALGs, further multiplied by whatever cap value you're at.

My four won't be split between vis and conf, because I'll stop them at the point where they can cruise up to the final value I want them at. This will liberate more SPs for Strength after that. So, your 3 will be in Str and so will my 4. Try to get your head around this fact.

You lose, badly. Try to re-think your player building strategy as you're missing out on several free SP.

I agree that vision past mid-60's is not such a good idea. It is still worth taking to 61 earlyish though, so you never have to spend 3:1 in it, which is the point of this conversation. Pretty hopeless of you to bring it up here though - go clutch at some straws somewhere else.
