HUHH..on owning most of the players and it being expected?? What does that have to do with tactics??
A team where an owner owns most of the players can make sure all his players have tactics set. A team that has multiple agents might not have all their tactics set in week 1 hell even week 2 for that matter, some agents are lazy, some don't care and are there to try and learn your system only. In the past I have had agents up to week 10 not set tactics and sometimes you wonder and wonder if they are set and just come right out and say, hey, I dont think your guy is set right, can you check? If your not set up with the basic stuff, say Playing on Hard, playing the run or playing the pass, not wrapping up, not setting pass coverage, etc etc then that leads to miss tackles, bad coverage, and the list goes on. You can set a defense up to have coverage where a Cb will play soft and a LB plays aggressive or vise versa and double cover a WR and if one of the two is not set than that pretty much makes that defense useless if both players are playing soft. Same with offense, if you dont have your line blocking to what your trying to do than it won't work as great as it could.
Same thing with training. If you own all or most of the players you are training your players to the tee. Other agents might start doing crazy things like 2 EQ points in one attribute, 1 in another, 5 in another and so on. Then you ask them to train and cap a certain attribute and look later on and see they are training the wrong thing and capping the wrong thing. Not saying it's happening on my team, just giving examples of why it's beneficial to an owner owning most of the players himself. Before I hang up this game I plan on making all the players myself for a couple of seasons, but right now I'm happy playing the way I do.
