Level 1 - o days old, wanted to get off on the right track.

I was thinking of the following building plan.

4th cap speed
4th cap agility
4th cap vision
4th cap strength
3rd cap tackling
3rd cap confidence
2nd cap jumping
soft cap stamina
soft cap catching
start putting points into head hunter and closing speed.

what ya think?

Don't build a hard hitter CB. That's my only suggestions.

I built one and retired it at like level 44. I hated it. It was gay.

Instead of being a dork, why don't you explain to him how to build a hard hitting corner back then.

not many people have. Drs and Djinnt are the only two fairly well known builders that i know of that have built CBs with fairly high strength and tackling (and by fairly high, i mean 61+ strength and like low to mid 50's tackling) but i dont think anyone has ever built a HH CB that has as high of numbers that is achievable now with archetypes.

you can just do strenght to 60, tackling to 68 and wind up with 85/85 strength tackling by end build just because of ALGs. after that, you can then start to work on speed agility and vision, and you dont wind up a ton slower than a man spec CB.

So in other words, you both argue, just to argue. got it.

Neither have you if you've only taken him to 44.

Here's your build plan Forbin:
Max height/weight
Speed to 73
Vision to 73
Tackle to 68
Strength to 61
Agility to 73
Jumping to 60
Stamina to 48
Confidence to 48
Jack Hammer to 4
Zone Focus or Monster Hit to 4 (it's debatable how beneficial Zone Focus is)
Swat Ball to 5

CEQ in the top tree
AEQ: +3 Spd/+1 ZF or MH; +3 Spd/+1 JH; +3 Spd/+5% FF Chance, +3spd/+2-5% FF Chance
Split EQ so that you get 95 agility and the rest is in speed
VAs in BH, FG, Power Tackler, TDS or Helmet Crash (if you choose MH over ZF), Text Book Tackler

well i would hardly say its arguing. its more of a debate, in which both sides present any proofs they have. im not getting mad (which would then make it an argument, and imo, as soon as it turns into an argument, both sides loose any benefit that could have been gained from the topic being discussed int he first place.).

and i dont think we are doing it just to do it. we have proofs. he have the builder script, that while isnt perfect since one has yet to be made for the new training system, can still give you a very good idea of how the build will turn out if you just train in old normal. and then throw in at least basic knowledge of how the sim works and meta game (ie about how much of attribute A you need in order to do X. im sure you also have a grasp of this, so i dont think it is ludicrous), and we can figure out how much attributes we need to do X, and then try to get something that will do everything the build will be required to do.

as for the build that i came up with:
tackling to 60
strength to 60
speed to 75 (yes only 75)
vision to 73
agility to 68
jumping to 48
stamina to 48
confidence to 48

should come out with something like this:
strength : 76.22
blocking : 10
speed : 125.22 (+39)
tackling : 82.22
agility : 90.82 (+19)
throwing : 10
jumping : 57.82
catching : 10
stamina : 50.82
carrying : 10
vision : 80.23
kicking : 10
confidence : 49.82
punting : 10

Top SA Tree: | 2 | 4 | 8 | 1 | 8 (+6) |
Bottom SA Tree: | 3 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
8 JH, 8 MH

VAs:
Ball Hawk 15
Power Tackler 15
Clutch 15
FBG 15
Txtbook Tackler 5
OTK 1

+25% Avoid Fake
+SDC
+36% FF chance
