the problem with these ideas is that there are plenty of teams that use Pee Wee leagues as either a starting out farm team for their players or simply want to play around with a low level team for a couple of seasons to see how they fare. Not everyone that has a Pee Wee team is going to reset the team every season or be in the game for the long term, and as such it's difficult to have a separate set of costs associated with Pee Wee players without doing some major revisions to Pee Wee leagues. I suppose if we created more level 4 teams, there is the possibility of making Pee Wee a special league with Pee Wee only players and reduced costs associated with those players, but that's something that would need a lot more fleshing out. Ideally, it'd probably just be best if we did something like that to make it to where either CEQ could not be worn or it was part of the player cost.

I wouldn't say that GLB is disinterested in the lowest levels - that's never been the case. We've done a lot of things in the past to help low level teams and players but we get the perception that we don't care about low level teams because all testing is being done at the highest levels (there's a reason for that - it's hard to test the game at the lowest levels because people often use extreme and unbalanced build methods early in a players development - with a one season only Pee Wee type league where builds might actually be a bit more balanced we might be able to change that).

I'm not sure how Bort would feel about any of the above btw, I'm just posting what my personal thoughts on the matter are. Basic ideas are good but if you truly want an idea to be taken seriously, it needs to be more detailed and most importantly it will need to make sense for GLB financially and work well with what GLB's goals are.

Lord Evil: I propose again that CE cost the same as what it cost to make the player, QB, HB and WR 300 so custom for ALL players level 1 costs 300 flex. Basically what this means is ALL GLB agents that decide to buy custom at level 1 get a discount. If you delay to buy the EQ and wait until past level 1 you pay normal price. So in effect EVERYONE wins. This will also encourage your guys that like playing at the top levels to also build players and get the discount. This will also prevent teams form changing their custom later in the players career because they will lose the discount.

As far as the custom tree take it out of pee wees. If a team wants to heavily spend in them let them use sps to do so

QBs, HBs and Wrs , Creation cost is 300 flex, Custom costs 300 flex , after level 1, cost is 600 (all players in GLB)
FBs, TE's and defensive players, Creation 200 flex, custom EQ 200, after level 1 cost is 600 (all players in GLB)
Offensive Line and kickers/punters, Creation costs 100 flex, Custom costs 100 flex, after level 1 cost is 600 (all players in GLB)

I wonder if taking a different angle would be better (they aren't going to reduce the CEQ price - just accept that).

Perhaps it would be possible for "Pee Wee Players" to be created and required to be in a PW league. With a different set of rules than others.

What if it were possible to "reset" these Pee Wee players? You are able to reset them to level 1 at the end of the season, without having to retire them or sell their CEQ. You would be required to retain the same piece of CEQ with no reset to the attributes nor have the ability to change the player's position, etc.

This might be a nice comprimise for GLB. You get the ability to save flex, and they don't have to discount or give you a cheaper price. Perhaps each player would be given 10 seasons of reset before A) Forced retirement with typical 70% refund or B) Decline period (very few would pick it, but some may want it). You'd have until season roll over or something to make your choice, or forced retirement happens.

This would possibly also add a new element to Pee Wee Players. The ability to have the dot grow on you, the same way other players do. You get ~10 seasons to have fun with that dot and have little bit of the role playing sense dots in regular leagues have.

This may also help the Pee Wee community by not only making things cheaper but also by eliminating L1 players that plan to move on to the minors after. L14 teams are plentiful and allowing teams to suck up a spot in a league they are only using for XP harms the integrity of the league. Removing those teams could allow us to condense Pee Wee a bit and make for more competitive leagues.

Just my thoughts. What do you all think?

CEQ prices should be a rent to own. We've talked about this.

CEQ should just cost 70 flex a season or it goes away.

player resets are a great idea drksand, would love to be able to buy a piece of a CE to use on a player forever and ever, that would be a great alternative if you think that there is no way prices will be reduced (which I think is just poor decision making on their part).
