RayRay just pointed this out in the BBB#5 talk thread.

He was one of the few GMs in this league I have not communicated with. I never saw him on the forums, either.
It doesn't look like the team is being gutted though. Most times when you see a new owner come in, there is a mad rush by the players to leave for new teams, but it doesn't seem to be the case here, which is nice.

lets just say were glad he's gone (partially). I wont copy-paste the PM's or forum posts, but basically he is GM'ing another team and is moving over. The problem being he had the audacity to PM several of the teams best players and ask them to come to his team, saying that it was some kind of "unification", with a team none of us have anything to do with (somewhere in Africa AA i think). So basically he was trying to strip us to another team.
Of course, a lot of the players on the team got upset that he was ditching us. Some players left, but myself and few other active members were able to keep a lot of players. Some people called him out for it, and he responded by saying how crappy thiis team was and how we arent going anywhere. Since he still has players on the team, he keeps badgering us in the forums.
If he was smart, he could have traded all of the good players before he left, but he sold the team before he did anythign. He also forgot to release some of his own players from the team. So nowww, he's in the forums screaming to release his players.
we just got our new owner and he seems like a good guy. He's bring over his own OC/DC guys, which is cool. We are always looking for more active players. Anyway, we're hoping to keep this thing going and make a shot at the playoffs.

Um, don't contracts automatically become null and void when a CPU takes over a team?
Wouldn't he have to resign with the new owner if his players were to stay?

i dont think so. Once we became CPU owned, people could accept offers from other teams, but now that we have another owner, I think the old contract holds.

Actually I wasn't stripping the team of anything, the plan was to trade between the two teams to better both teams. It would benefit both teams and i'm really getting sick of lboaman speaking without proper knowledge of what's going on. I didn't PM several either, there were 3. 3 players I was going to trade from one team to the other (for equally god players), but they got upset so I sold the team to let another owner deal with them. That's what really happened, no gutting or stripping of the team was in the plan just the swaping of players to help out both teams. Now that you know what's actually happened you can ignore any and all comments from lboaman and kboaman. They don't know what was going on they made strong assumptions and now they must feel like fools for being so ignorant as to making these false accusations.

You can only trade 3 players per team, and only 1 trade every 12 days, so that has halted the possibility of stripping teams in the way they had been.

They do not become void. They used to, but that has been amended. Their contracts are held solid, and cannot be signed, traded, or released while a CPU is in control.

Don't get upset because you were proven ignorant on this topic lboaman. I just don't like when people talk out of ignorance or accuse me of cheating when clearly I wasn't. In the pm I ASKED if you wanted to come be traded to the other team, if I was going to gut the team why would I ask? Exactly I wouldn't ask I would do it, but I asked you and you said no and you are still on the Brawlers. If the false accusations are finished I would like to just leave my time with the Brawlers in the past.
Thanks,
