My CB is going to be hitting lvl7 here probably after next game. When should I start investing in the tree? I need to up his tackling first, but dont want to be too far behind the 8ball

Strength: 16.25 Blocking: 9
Speed: 28.66 Tackling: 14.25
Agility: 19.66 Throwing: 9
Jumping: 17.66 Catching: 16.09
Stamina: 22.58 Carrying: 11.25
Vision: 20.66 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 15 Punting: 8

Im at 15 and yet to touch the tree. I might at 18.

IMO, you should not worry about tackling right now. Just use wrap-up tackling. If you feel you need to improve tackling train it at most for now.

I would invest some point in swat ball

I can't believe stats are so low at level 7... damn, been a while since I started anyone at a real position

Keep doing what you're doing - build is looking pretty decent so far. Continue mainly with Speed and Stamina for a while, and spread daily training around Catching, Tackling, Strength and Jumping, in roughly that order. Your few points in shutdown SAs should do you for a while, though as you get faster you might want to put a couple points in First Step and Change Direction (only 1 or 2 though). Once your speed is at the soft cap (48) and you've got some solid other stats, start going for more SAs... IMO the shift to SAs happens around level 15.

GL - keep getting those deflections; eventually they'll turn into picks!

Level 16 for me

I would advise putting points into super vision, shutdown corner, first step, and change direction earlier than level 16. My CB is just now 16 and his tree's look like:

3-4-5-2-3
2-2-1-2-1

and rarely do I get beat by a WR.
