The formula uses wins, strength-of-schedule*, and point difference; with it weighted in that order.

*Yes, we all play basically the same schedule minus one game out of conference. SOS still gives us an idea of what team are better while they are bunched up at the beginning and through the middle of the season.

but even with that, we beat the Sharks 43-20 just 2 days ago, common sense says we are a more powerful team then them ??

Not to mention we have had the hardest schedule thus far..

I appreciate it. I know on1 seems to, but i am sure the west really appreciates this as well. When people beg for power rankings and then their team is not as high as they want, they get upset. Idk, i guess its human nature.

It's either entirely opinion based, opinion based loosely based on fact, or a formula you come up with based on the stats at hand. Last year when I did them for BBB1, I searched the forums for any standard what so ever, it was all over the place, so I made my own forumla up last year and kept opinion out of it, like badger did. I posted my forumal for everyone to see, maybe that would help him with some people, but others would find fault in how he decided to do it as well.

Suits my needs? That's rich, because I have sooooooo much to gain.

In my first post I listed what was in this formula and how it was weighted.

You are under no obligation to accept it, it's just another way of ranking.

By the way, Power Ranking generally means ranking teams by more than just win/loss totals. It can be done in many different ways, like Rhuin said.
