This rating was calculated by finding the average ranking of each team using 19 statistical categories, then adding the number of losses. This is simply for fun and discussion as these numbers will definitely change dramatically as the season progresses. At this point, some teams have faced either vastly superior or inferior teams, so the results will naturally be skewed a bit. Enjoy!

Intresting, the strength of schedule for the first 3 has alot to do with this, some have played weaker opponents and some stronger. I agree with your early statement you made in another thread BGM1969, that this really is not a good indicator till closer till the end of the season when most teams have played each other.

That's right. It becomes more valid as the season rolls on. For example, Oklahoma has beat up on two of the weakest teams in the conference. And, even though the Scorpions lost to Detroit, they have put up slightly better numbers statistically. All this really is at this point is a jumping off point for discussion and speculation.

A little disappointed... based on stats, yeah, the Six Shooters don't put up the big numbers but we don't give them up either.

One of only 7 undefeated teams in the entire BBB #3 and we are ranked 9th.

Like the others, this is good for speculation... but paper doesn't make the game.

Nice work though.

There are three statistical things that are really dragging your team's rating down. You don't cause many turnovers, you allow too many passing TDs and you have a lower rushing average. On the plus side, you have an outstanding pass completion percentage, you don't allow many rushing TDs and you protect your QB well.

You've also only played one really inferior team so far. The other two were quite competitive.

Last season, Vegas (the league champion) was sixth in the end of season ratings, and yet stormed to the championship and beat the number one rated team. So, these ratings are definitely only part of the story.

I won't get into the analytical aspect of it all... but the top 2 teams played Chicago and have overblown stats due to those games.

Kinda hard when we don't get a team like Chicago to walk all over. (No offense meant towards Chicago at all... but you helped to a point)

Honestly.... it is good for speculation but the virtue behind it is slanted.

you played last season's least successful team in your first game, who honolulu managed to pad their stats against a week later. you also havent played a playoff team from last season yet. with USB coming up, you've had likely the weakest front schedule so far so it's hard to fault another team for whooping the teams they're supposed to. it's just a stat based comparisson after 3 games ... it'll even out as everyone plays eachother.

So wait... we are going by stats? Well look at the last game with Detroit and the Scorpions. We had more yards overall and held them to their lowest point totals all year. I am not going to complain about a couple spots but it is however weird that a 1-2 team is higher than a 2-1 team
