Bort confirmed that ballhawk also works for offense. Of course he said that before VAs were categorized, when it wasn't clear which ones worked on both sides of the ball.

Ballhawk works better in man, not zone. Its probably the best VA for a man coverage CB.

lolno

1. after this season, there will be no jackhammer VA. it will be a SA only.
2. jackhammer, even as a VA, wasnt close to being the best VA for a man coverage corner. with a typical above average CB build, you would maybe get a knocked loose every other game to maybe just 1 per game. ball hawk is way better than 0.5-1 PDs per game. as is 3DS, and FG, and clutch, and HJ.

long reach is decent. itll probably be the last VA on my CB. but only after BH, 3DS, clutch, and an attribute VA.

it's called football genius dummy

lol

to OP:
Ball hawk is primarily intended for defensive players

It's best for zone players, by the nature of the VA. A ball hawk is one who makes moves based on the motion of the ball, not players. Man defenders base their movements off of players, not the ball.

I also disagree that it's the best VA for a man cb. I think that goes to 3DS. Deflection bonuses are king for coverage defenders.

ha, well on my lvl 49, i might not go with football genius. he will have 84 raw vision, so i might go with soft hands to increase my catching a bit in hope that catching actually does do something (he will also have about 63 catching.)

That would be silly of you.

meh, i know its unorthodox, and for most builds i wouldn't recommend it, but i figure that if i want to get INTs (which was the plan for this build from the start... has produced much, but then again, i just finally capped catching. bringing it to 60 now.) that soft hands might be the way to go. he will have 115 speed, 95 agility, 84 vision and 70 jumping, so the rest of his build will already be pretty good. with soft hands he will be about 68 catching, and for an attempt at an INT CB, i thin k 115/95/84/70/68, 9-9-9-2-10/3-6 sounds pretty good. but again, this shouldnt be taken as advice for all CBs. its really almost an experiment.

catching in my opinion doesn't improve your chances of getting an interception it just increases your ability to handle the catch and move quickly with it; therefore increasing your likelihood of a INT TD.

I'd go with teh 90+ vision over that.

If I were building an int guy I'd want 110+ vision end build
