if you build an elusive right they're good but powers can be effective with different builds

power, nothing like bull-dozing a couple LBs to get to pay-dirt.

yeah i think power is pretty good in this game. and powers get more YPC but i think elusives and combo get better stats SOMETIMES.

Power with good carrying is better when playing tougher competition

If you can master both power and elusive, you'll have an advantage. But then again, that's really hard to do.

Don't care what kind of running back you make, because he's only going to be as good as the O-Line/FB he is behind and the play calls the OC gives. Also how many HB's and FB's you have on your team to share all the plays.

If your not the starter, you better hope your #2 cause seems #2 gets a lot more TD's most of the time then the starter (sometimes). #1 just gets more yards.

-In my major opinion.

If you are a young team and the OL is weaker then a lot of the competition then I would recruit a POWER back as my starter. At least they might be able to break a few tackles.

No you need a good line for a power back because elusive backs can have a bad line then you run pitches and they only have to face 1 player or get a good block from a WR

I need some help from the veteran HB's in the game
im building an experimental build for my HB, and hes in the D leagues right now
What I need to know is, what is the actual difference between the three running styles?

If there's a defender right in front of you, and empty space to your right, do you just run at the defender if you are set on power?

I have no luck with power. level 19, over 60 Strength, but nothing is working for me. My average /carry is terrible

The obvious difference between the styles is that elusive backs try to avoid contact, while power backs try to muscle through it. Personally, I run with a combo back that leans towards being an elusive back (i.e. I focus on speed and agility, but I have a higher base strength than a pure elusive back probably would). It takes longer to build up attributes, but I can bust through tackles when needed and if my guy gets a step on the defender, it's pretty much over. I also focus mostly on the elusive SA tree, but have 1's on all of the power back SA too, just to give a boost to my guy when it comes to fighting for those tough yards.

I am an elusive guy because I like Reggie Bush, Clinton ports, etc. . .

I play on combo.

I'm really disappointed in my RB right now. He is level 17 and has 50 strength right now. In my game today I averaged .4 YPC. I am thinking that I should just totally switch my back now before it is way too late. I just think power back is the wrong way to go because opposing team's NT and DTs are always going to be stronger than my back, which means he will never break their tackles when he runs up the middle like a powerback should.
Is it a stupid idea to focus on speed, agility, and vision this far into the game?
