I've got a lvl 42 Posession WR. Speed, Agility and Catching are where I want them. Jumping and Vision are both around 52. Which would I be better building up first and how high should I take each?

Or, are both fine as they are and build up Strength and Carrying which are both low?

I would say jumping, only because CBs generally have 60+ jumping and it could (should) help there.

Jumping, speaking as someone who went with Vision.

jumping for sure. CBs these days are getting 70+ jumping. if you want to be a possession receiver, it would be a good idea to have at least that much.

OK, thanks. I'll get Jumping up to 60 this season (by lvl 45)

Out of interest, what would be an ideal Jumping stat for a receiving TE? I'd assume 60 would be fine at Pro level as SS and LOLB will have lower Jumping than CB.

yeah. most FSs and SSs i see at pro and WL have jumping in the high 50's low 60's. so 60 should be fine. obviously the higher the better, but i think you should be able to get away with 60.

so with high jumping but low carrying and strength, is this jumpy WR gonna have a lot of KL's?

probably not. CBs dont have jackhammer VA anymore, and most CBs only have 50/50 strength tackling... often they have less than that, but some have more. so no, i dont think you should have an issue with KL. maybe one every here and there, but it shouldnt be an issue.

Anyway you have to train something, or are strength and carrying too high to be worth training

i built a poss WR this season, and power capped his jumping immediately at lvl 2.

Now i am training speed with the goal of capping that asap, since poss get VERY nice speed alg's... better than the majors!
So he will be uber fast with nice jumping right out of the gate.

Next trained will be agility / catching / stamina in tandem.

Hope it works out.

^ ummmmmmmmmmmm... no. possession WRs do not get better ALGs on speed (a minor) than the majors. they used to get better gains on their minors before archetypes (although speed wasnt a minor back then) were introduced, but as archetypes are set up right now (can find info here: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3768138 ) WRs get .07 better ALGs on their majors than their minors, and since speed is a minor for possession WRs, they will not getter better ALGs on speed than say jumping, catching, agility, carrying, or vision.

if you want to make a wr that is "uber fast" you should make a speedster, not a possession receiver

sigh... thats what i get for going off wiki... it said that WR get .5 to minors, and power and poss receivers have speed as a minor.
so much for gaming the system. well at least my team has a couple speedsters anyway.

now what. i capped his jumping already, and hes now a lvl 4 with 3 star enhanced intense speed training going on. I was saving SP
in order to cap speed asap. In light of this info from worker (thx man) http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=3768138

i thinks i should continue on my present course and still get speed capped asap, since the alg gains wont be as high as i thought.

anyone disagree and think i should pump jumping higher?

That wiki is for the old ALG's... sorry you had to have that happen to you, but ever since the archetype rollouts and training rollouts most of the wiki in regards to training is completely obsolete. Slowbuilding still makes sense, but that;s about it.

I agree with you though, continue to pump speed... you won't be hampered that much by power capping jumping first...
