After a 10-week hiatus, the Experts return with the better part of a season's worth of scouting (or beer) to help them make their picks. I wish I could say that the break was nice, but the truth is that I was so damn busy I didn't even notice it.
A lot has happened since we last saw each other here Saigon has backed up a lot of their preseason trash talk, even if they've only notched three 100-point wins on the year. (And yes, I know one of those was against the Mountain Men bastards.) The Smurfs have also looked very strong, but they are admittedly a notch below the Whores as is everyone else in the league. Over in Garuda, Tet and Buffalo have remained undefeated to set up what is sure to be a good ol' slobber-knocker in Week 15, a party the DREAM wouldn't mind crashing this week. And there's more than a couple of really good teams lurking a little bit off the radar in both conferences.
So what do we have in store for Week 13? Quite a few duds, actually, as mismatches seemingly dominate the schedule this week. Fortunately, though, there are a few games that look to be exciting dotball.
=============HAOLE'S GAME OF THE WEEK =============
Tet Offensive (12-0) at Lucid D.R.E.A.M. (11-1)
GARUDA CONFERENCE
After an early stumble to Buffalo, the D.R.E.A.M. are riding a 9-game winning streak into a matchup of one of SEA Pro's current Top Dawgs the dynamic Tet offensive attack.
The Offensive have lived up to their name so far this season, scoring at least 51 points in every game this season (an SEA Pro-leading average of 124 p/g) and even dropping a 53-spot on the World League's Battle Chickens in a recent ranked scrimmage.
Lucid, on the other hand, hasn't been daydreaming this season. The D.R.E.A.M. are averaging a cool 100 points per game, putting them in second place to Tet and the defense has only given up a fourth-best 14 points per game.
The only real difference between these two powerhouses is their preferred method of attack Tet leads the conference in passing yardage and passing TD; Lucid is so dominant in the run game that the next-closest conference competitor (Munich) trails in yards per game by nearly 150. Tet also leads the league in special teams yards per return and touchdowns in punts and kickoffs.
How will the experts score it?
THE EXPERTS: Tet 4, Lucid 0

LUCID is a great team who is heading for something big, sadly Tet is slightly bigger and more bad-ass. Its going to be very close and the slightest mistake will cost the game. Tet

The game both teams have been looking forward to this game all season. It will not be the 83-27 thrashing http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1019841 that Tet laid on the DREAM last season but I do believe that Tet will be able to hang at least 40 points on them. We all know that the DREAM can show up when it counts and i think ijayarider is looking for some redemption and respect after losing to Buffalo while he was on vacation. Tet's new found defense wins this one. Tet, 49-24

No Offense to Buffalo, but i really feel as if this could be a preview of the Garuda Conference Championships. Lucid has really been beating the tar out of teams and is probably one notch below Tet. This is going to be a classic game of Tet's Pass vs Lucid's run and at this point I don't think there are many teams that can handle Tet's passing game. Tet, 42-21

Lucid has been growing stronger and stronger all season. They have the top HB in the conference, which will keep them in the game... the Lucid D is one of the better Ds in lolgaruda. The question that needs answered is, can they stop the Tet offense. Slow them down? yes... Stop them? Im not sure they can. Tet, 45-38
