Just curious how this is determined. In my league I am listed 3rd but have much higher stats then the player is first place so I am curious how he is on top of the list? The only stat I am lower on is the kick return yards but everything else I am higher. Here are our stats:

His
Kick return yards 1830 - avg 28.6 - 1 TD. Punt return yards 1369 - avg 27.9 - 17TDs

Mine
Kick return yards 1257 - avg 33.1 - 3TDs. Punt return yards 2225 - avg 42.5 - 32TDs.

Are these blow out adjusted stats?

Here are the blowout adjusted stats which still show me higher in everything except kick return total yards.

His
Kick return total yards 1803 - avg 28.2 - 0.79TDs. Punt return total yards 1223 - avg 25 - 14.83TDs

Mine
Kick return total yards 1192 - avg 31.4 - 2.76 TDs. Punt return total yards 2046 - avg 38.6 - 28.65TDs.

The MVP formula is top secret among the admins and they will neither tell us how it works nor fix it (because it's obviously broken) The only advice you will really get is "blow out adjusted stats" "Needs moar vision" and "working as intended"

Yea it is broken for the most part...

What is your teams record compared to his? Generally if you're on a crap team and put up decent stats it'll put you in the top spot vs. a guy on the #1 team that's killing everyone they play and putting up retarded high stats.

trying to understand the mvp formula is pointless and a waste of effort

some guy with like 9 kick off returns was #2 and ahead of me last year it was silly

my 24 Power back dominating on the 7th place team and he's not even up for MVP...

As for OPs question, it's been my experience that for some reason Kick Return yards (not average) count for a lot in special teams mvp...makes no sense to me but it seems to be true

I'm also wondering whether ST tackles play a small part, which is why my WR KR/PR is 2nd to a CB with inferior KR/PR stats (both teams being 15-0...and playing each other on the final regular season game...), but that CB has a handful of ST tackles...

im pretty certain that ST tackles play a part ... and not necessarily a small one either
