I currently have AE that is +8 speed and +5 stiffarm (originally was a +1 Stiffarm only piece, upgraded 8 times). Last week I bought a +3 speed +3% break tackle chance that could be upgraded to +11 speed +24% break tackle chance if I sold the older piece. I don't have and will never have enough BT to convert the new piece to an open slot and upgrade it.

I currently have 3 points in stiffarm, 9 total after equipment, so my overall stiffarm would drop to 4 if I did this. It seems like a sweet tradeoff though because LTS and power thru seem to fire more than stiffarm anyway, so they would have a 24% better chance of working, plus 3 speed.

Thanks for any input

edit - this is a powerback btw. LTS is 9 total and Power thru is 7 total

It starts as +3% break tackle chance, and based on my previous experience with AE, 8 BT upgrades should = 24%

No, you get +2% for each upgrade so after 8 upgrades that's +19%. That's a really good piece along with the +3 Speed.
