Not a big fan tbh. Too balanced. I'd suggest retiring and trying again. IMO, Speed should still be the primary attribute even for Power WRs.

ehhhh...

He's right about the build being too balanced... but Speed should not be the primary for a power WR... unless you just want to stat whore the first few seasons and then be mediocre the last few seasons.

At level 26 and you haven't even taken any skill to 3:1 cap...

This was my Power WR build, and I'm assuming we started at the same time... it's too late for you, but did you notice what the ALG's were for carrying on WR's before the archetype changes? .5 per level. I took carrying to the 3:1 cap ASAP, then SPD to 3:1, now taking AGI to 3:1 Catching to 1:1, STR to 3:1 (At which point I split EQ between STR and SPD)... and so on and so on.

With the New Archetype and ALG's
I'd start with STR and CAR each to 3:1
then catching to 3:1
Jumping to 3:1
SPD to 3:1
Agi to 3:1
and so on and so on with all EQ in SPD.

It'd be like a Possession WR with a big bonus to the break tackle roll, the extra jumping and catching would be to increase his chance to be targeted.

Would either choose catch fake SA and then have AEQ in Power Through or Stiff Arm or Spin.
Or just choose one of those break tackle SA's as the bonus SA.

I'm not certain that you are proving your point by posting a link to your WR where his speed is his highest attribute (counting equipment obviously).

FWIW, I also have a YAC WR and I think that speed is the primary attribute for a strong WR as well. IMHO, the goal is to be able to break the tackles of CB's, FS's, and some SS's while not getting ran down by LBers or fast pass rushing DE's.

Here is my guy. He is my first WR, btw. The one I created last season will be better I think.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1306296&playoffs=0&stat_type=adjusted

I don't think my current OC appreciates him as he had him as the 3rd string #3 WR and starting #4 WR on the depth chart the first two games. I finally was able to get him to start him and he is now the #1 ranked WR in AA while leading the league in YAC (19.7 YAC on blow out adjusted stats). Very very very small sample size, but I think he'll continue to improve and I think I am taking him Pro next season. If I get an offer at least.

Also, it is pretty hard to stat whore the first few seasons as a WR. There are too many important attributes to really be effective.

To the original poster, I agree that your build is far too balanced. I'd retire and start over but make sure to cap build your next guy. You won't regret it.

Speed should not be the first attribute you third cap for a power receiver. It's inefficient due to insufficient training patterns.

It's inefficient due to the lower ALG's, but to be clear speed should still be the highest attribute at the end build. My opinion, of course.

Assuming a cap-focused build, that shouldn't be a problem long term with EQ focused on speed, no matter the cap order.

Long term no, but I'm not certain it wouldn't be an issue when looking for a team if you have 40 speed at the end of your 3rd season.

Need a team that cares about being competitive when it counts.

I agree, but just because I'm curious... When would you start adding SP's to speed to a power WR? After the 3rd or 4th attribute? And how high?

For my Power WR the plan is to go Strength, Carrying, Catching, Vision, Agility, and then Speed, with all EQ in speed, all because of the ALGs and trainings combinations.

So at what level do you expect to get your speed to 90+ or 100+? Or is that not a concern?

~56 you can have around 110 speed if you put all equipment in it. Or you could go 100/80 speed/agi if you want.
