Texan's Week 4 Picks
Current Record: 44-4
Bring your glow sticks and call that old tweaker gf of yours, it's time for 90s dance week.
Btw, I will be in Hawaii starting Thursday so Boomy may be your guest DJ during that time.
Naga
Tibet (3-0) v Mekong (0-3): Tibet has looking "Unbelievable" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waacof2saZw in crushing their feeble early schedule with abandon and have not been challenged yet. They also will not be challenged here as Mekong is in a tough rebuilding season and tbh they should probably just "Run Away" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9Q-z02MFuA from this one. Tibet 167, Mekong 3.
Saigon (3-0) v Alabama (1-2): Alabama started out like the proverbial house afire week one but have since been rudely welcomed by "The Power" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z33tH-JdPDg of the Pros. It gets worse this week. Much worse as they face the best team in Naga. I'm guessing Stout saw this game coming up and just started singing "U Can't Touch This" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otCpCn0l4Wo in the shower. What he did after that we don't want to know. Saigon 115, Alabama 6.
CMM (3-0) v SLS (2-1): CMM is off to an impressive start and looking very "Vogue" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuJQSAiODqI so far but takes a huge step up in competition this week versus SLS. I think CMM can score on any team out there with their purdy mouth offense but you know SLS is "Gonna Make You Sweat" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl_F74xBvkk every time out on the field and they are a better team this season imo. SLS 38, CMM 30.
The Blue (3-0) v HKH (2-1): Blue came up big last week in taking out PDP and now faces an HKH team that just got leveled by the Monks. HKH will still be off to a much better start this season than last season when "Baby Got Back" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4he79krseU to Pros, even after losing this one. Blue looks like they are "Finally" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xk8mm1Qmt-Y&feature=PlayList&p=BC1AD2E555D57480&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=16 a top tier team in Naga and should cruise. The Blue 55, HKH 16.
Monks (2-1) v Bacolod (2-1): Both teams got roughed up last week against two of Naga's best and now one of them will lose again while the other team feels the "Good Vibrations" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVL3b1wKZQU of 3-1. Last season the Monks won 42-6 but both teams could be better this time out. Whichever team starts "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIduOvEoVeQ takes this one and I think the Monks are better on both lines. Monks 41, Bacolod 20.
PDP (2-1) v Semarang (2-1): PDP is usually very dangerous coming off of a loss but Semarang is one tough customer with experienced GMs and finely aged vets. After a tough start against TKW, Semarang has pulled it together again and looks to cruise for a while but they have yet to beat an established pro team like PDP. It's definitely "Summertime" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_PDns23RWY at 3-1 for the winner but which team will be "Poison" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdF2zqs1bxQ for the other? I think it's probably the second straight coin flip game for PDP and I always roll with my hommies there. PDP 23, Semarang 20.
Assassins (1-2) v Phuket (1-2): Impressively one of these new kids on the block gets to move up to 2-2 in their Pro debut and those are just "Sweet Dreams" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpTcRV5_MjY for them. Just using the smell test, the Assassins seem more Pro ready at this point and I look for them to "Strike It Up" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxEt38tHLpg here. Assassins 42, Phuket 21.
Victoria (0-3) v Golden Hill (0-3): These two new teams are both off to a really tough start in the Pros and the loser here is likely on the fast track to the "Achy Breaky Heart" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byQIPdHMpjc of relegation with Mekong, although it's too early to say for sure. The winner could potentially "Go" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_Qwo8sT9U0 somewhere from here. The Teabaggers have shown a few more signs of life overall than Golden Hill, so I'll go with them here. VT 36, GH 14.
garuda
Tet (3-0) v Flint (0-3): Flint has looked competitive in every game so far and I really feel that they are a legit Pro franchise in lolgaruda. The schedule however is doing them wrong yet again with an unstoppable Tet squad. Flint is used to breaking out their "Rump Shaker" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKKONgfNONU and winning a lot of games but look for Tet to be the one to go for the "Tootsie Roll" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jbxi9hxctk8 here. Tet 72, Flint 13.
Buffalo (3-0) v Manila (0-3): We're not used to seeing a quality Manila franchise at 0-3 but here they are in a rebuilding season but one with promise, but you know it's giving some serious "Insomnia" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBrUjvONIrA to Joe. Buffalo meanwhile always somehow finds a way to reload instead and "Jump Around" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwQbPgouUYo the prospect of rebuilding. They are back in the playoff mix once again. Buffalo 52, Manila 17.
TKW (3-0) v Hell's (1-2): Yup, they're still TKW, undefeated as always despite taking "Da Dip" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHBwDYyyGxs back down to the Pros. Hell's is another squad that has competed in every game so far but now they take a step up in competition. They could go "Around the World" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9MszVE7aR4 and not find a more storied franchise to face this week. TKW 45, Hell's 24.
Lucid (2-1) v San Francisco (1-2): Lucid got ambushed last time out by a surprisingly game Buffalo team in a game that probably seemed to last until "3am" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXEOESuiYcA and now they get to take out their frustrations on a SF outfit that does not look very Pro-ready right now. SF will spend most of the season trying not to get sent back "In De Ghetto" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15ZaV9-hl9Y of AAA. Lucid 77, SF 9.
Dummies (2-1) v Empire (1-2): One more both of these guys could be making the "Magic Carpet Ride" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK_AKpVM82Y of the playoffs in their first season here in lolgaruda. Both of them have competed for the most part so far this season and, on paper, this looks like a pretty even game. "No Diggity" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KL9mRus19o but the Empire's game against the Reapers has caused me to doubt them a little bit more than the Dummies right now. Dummies 27, Empire 24.
Bangalore (2-1) v Munich (1-2): "Get Ready for This" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KUmAphvThQ but Munich is another of those teams that, if they can withstand the early difficulty of their schedule, could find themselves in the playoffs. Bangalore will likely end up as a home playoff team once again and just have too much firepower for Munich right now and "Whoomp, There It is" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-FPimCmbX8 Bangalore 49, Munich 16.
Singapore (2-1) v Shiroyama (0-3): Singapore has won two straight after their opening day loss to PDP and they are looking strong indeed with an early "Jump" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To4SQihIr84 on the competition. Shiroyama on the other hand is looking like they could be headed by to AAA but "Everybody's Free" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YgAw1G-4zY to think what they want about that. Singapore 56, Shiroyama 16.
Sweatshop (0-3) v Johor (0-3): The Sweatshop gets a brief respite from their ridiculous early schedule and "Mortal Kombat" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8H1p13GjKOs with a game against relegation-bound Johor. Once again it's "Red Alert" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hIF81M0yQA time as Johor gets enslaved in Vietnam. Sweatshop 85, Johor 10.
