I've been insanely busy lately, and am trying to get everything setup for the S15 tourneys.

I'm having a heck of a time finding a WC style bracket template I can publish on the web. If anyone knows of a site that does, let me know. Unless I am blind, I don't think bracketmaker can.

If anyone would like to help with the seeding and coordinating of the WC style tourney just let me know in this thread

Not being a soccer/futbol fan, I'm not sure how much I can offer. But I would be happy to help any way I can.

All I know about World Cup rules came from the discussion here and this Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_FIFA_World_Cup#Groups as well as this chart: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c0/Worldcup_2006_wallchart.PNG

So as I understand it, the only real difference between this and a traditional bracket is at the play-in stage. So I would propose that we get the teams together, seed the teams and divide into pots, generate the groups, and then set up the group matches as quickly as we can. The results of the group matches can be tracked in a GLB forum thread or in a google doc spreadsheet or something.

Once the play-in phase is completed, we'll be down to a 16, 32 or 64-team traditional bracket (depending on whether we get 32, 64 or 128 signups), and we can go to bracketmaker at that point.

Like I said, I would be happy to help you out with this Drk. And since I don't plan to enter my Tinies into this tournament this season, I don't think anyone would accuse me of partiality.

Tournaments never responds to these until the teams are chosen and seeded. The "bracket" will probably come out soon, and then you'll know if you made it in.
