I'll reach 40 so I can get Ball Hawk VA. Should I soft-cap it, 2nd soft cap?

He's used to cover the TE on passing plays.

eventual goal should be around 60, but there are lots of things to get up before you can get jumping that high

wow on 60... at level 70+ maybe.
I trained Jumping to 30 and haven't touched it since... Like LBs, TEs have a lot of things they need to Train before Jumping.
Hitting 40 before ur level 40 is a bit early... but I'm a combo.

Jumping and vision can give you a massive boost to int's and pd's... so if you're going for that kind of LB, I'd suggest SPD, and AGI to 68, and Vis to 73, followed by JUM to 68... great way to take advantage of the bonus to int's and pd's that jumping gives for a good portion of your career... but if you don't intend to get many int's or PD's... then increase something else instead... but if you're not going for int's and PDS... then why make a coverage LB?

soft cap around level 45 for coverage, second cap or bump to about 60 around level 65.

Agility and vision are your top 2 priorities IMO. Then speed and jumping would be 4th. I agree 60+ later on in your career sounds about right.

Nah, not really interested in INTs. If they come, they come. PDs will be fine.

OK, I won't take it any higher than 48. Should be able to get Vision up to 70 this offseason. Agility is already at 76 and I've put some EQ on top of that to take it up into the 80s

Agreed on 60+ jumping, it will help your 2 favored skills, Jump Tackle and Swat Ball
