Notable week 2 matchups:

Caprica Buccaneers vs Lima Lemurs
Both teams lost to the #1 seed and eventual Super Bowl champions in the Western conference playoffs last season. Who will come out on top as they struggle for what could be home field advantage come playoff time? We will have to wait and see, as I refuse to predict the score of my own game.

Chicago Maroons vs Midwest Mayhem
After an upsetting 17 point loss in week 1 to the Sioux Falls Storm, Chicago will be coming out of the gate strong. Midwest also suffered a heart breaker in week 1 with a 3 point loss to the DVDTalk Otters and they too will be looking to bounce back this week. Both teams will be looking to prove something this week. Midwest looking to hold on to their reputation as the #5 playoff seed from last season and Chicago trying to prove that they are worthy of the sleeper pick that so many people gave them in the off season. My prediction for the final score: Chicago (16) Midwest (21).

New York Strikers vs New Brunswick Scarlet Knights
Two very heavy hitting teams in the East. New Brunswick, playing off the pent up frustration from the loss to Manhattan in the conference championship, will be looking to steam roll anyone and anything in their path. The Strikers, coming into this season with a very strong roster, will be looking to gain themselves a little more credibility by knocking off the team that held the #1 playoff seed in the Eastern Conference last season. This will definately be the game to see for week 2. My prediction for the final score: New York (27) New Brunswick (38)

Akron Browns vs New Hampshire Hustlers
Both teams playoff contenders from last season. Both teams looking to bounce back from their losses in week 1. Both teams with something to prove. I like the Hustlers in this one. Final score Browns (17) Hustlers (28).

I'll cheat and go with pretty similar calls, other than preferring not to guess at our games at this point, and leaning towards Lima and the Maroons, but there's a ton of good games tomorrow.

I'll agree with all but 4 games, I'm picking:
Las Colinas over Sioux Falls
San Diego over Pittsburg
New York over New Brunswick
Gulf State over Michigan

You allowed 16 in your first game though, and that was a home game for you. You'll be playing at Gulf State. Yeah, I think you'll win. And yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if you hold them below 17. But I'll stick to my prediction for now. Hey, it's still early in the season. The same reason you don't want to do a power ranking yet is what makes predicting the early games tough

Las Colinas and Sioux Falls was the game I had the hardest time figuring out. In the end I gave the nod to Las Colinas due to the home field advantage. I'm not sure yet if Sioux Falls is for real or if their win at Chicago was a fluke. This game could be a big statement for the Storm

Pittsburg and San Diego .... I'm still giving respect to the teams from A8. Maybe that'll change as the season wears on, I'm not sure yet

NY and NBSK could go either way, but I went with home field again. If this was played in NY I'd have no trouble picking them

Gulf State and Michigan... totally disagree with you but I understand sticking up for your team. You don't really have an answer for C-Ball (not like my team does either, he killed us last time we played) and Michigan has a knack for the big play. And then there's chemistry. Michigan is the best in our league, Gulf State is middle of the pack.

We'll know for sure in 18 hours though!

Did any of yall actually look at matchups and rosters? our offense will easily put up more than 7 on DVDtalk... its flat out better than them. have u seen the depth, or lack of it, om DVDTalks line? come on... last week u got us squeaking by a team that didnt even have a full roster, and this week getting manhandled against a team we match up well against. why do yall hate anchorage so much? show some love! it gets lonley up there in the cold!

Expect the RAGE D to perform better. I am the DC for the Michigan Rage, but am on leave for the first week and a half of the season. I have appointed an adequate backup to fill my position, but as most of my team would agree, its not the same. Watch out for the RAGE come week 7.

AGREED RYAN. Our offense was a little soft last season, but really watch out for us this year. Even if we do allow 20 points, we still have a very good chance at winning the game.

I am looking forward to the games tonight. I think we can get our first win of the season although it does look to be a pretty close one. I was looking through the schedule and it looks at least on the east side that everyone aside from houghton is amazingly close talent wise. That didn't stop us from getting stomped the first game of the season but this has got to be one of the most competitive conferences in the game and I am proud to be a part of it. So good luck tonight everyone.

my prediction:
Salem 20
Las Vegas 13
