what stats to cap first and what should i aim for? also what archetype? thanks

Here's what I'm doing

Hard Hitter Archetype
No attributes higher than 68. Use typical slow building methods, first attribute gets to 85 by career finality, second to 82, third 77ish

strength/tackling
tackling/speed
speed(normal)
Vision/Agility
Stamina/Jumping
Stamina/Confidence

cap strength to 68, tackling to 68, speed to 68, vision to 68, agility to 68, work on SAs.
Then I'd split eq between speed and tackling and final numbers would be something like
110 speed, 71 agility
90 tackling, 86 strength
74 vision, 56 stamina

1 ffum AEQ, and hopefully two pieces with first step (and some attributes) so head hunter will fire more consistently

when people say slowbuild what do u mean? Train strength/tackling until u get 48 in one of them? Or do u train and wait until u get enough to shoot str to 48? Then what do u do? Do tackling/speed and shoot stuff to tackling? or str until its 2nd cap. Just never understood it

BTW i like ur build. 27 FF

Train an attribute until you can cap it. Then cap it and place all points into it until it is as high as you want it, while you train a second/third attribute. Place points in the second attribute once the first is done and you can cap the second. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I'm trying to build a hard hitter, but I've made him bloody fast to begin with. Hoping that STR/TKL to 69 and some FFum gear does the trick.

Thats rich Packers, I don't see any advice from you in this thread? Shit I didn't even give advice, I stated that I'm doing something similar to Djinnt but with more speed. So does that make his advice bad?

So when is your guy going to WL?

[Brag Thread] I build the best players. You can only hope to one day be on par, but surpassing me is a pipe dream.

he's only level 1 but i wanna see if i got this down right

Train Str/Tackling until str is 48 (1st cap) then put points into it so its at 68
Then ill train tackling/speed? or speed/agility and put points into tackling
Also i saw that a guy in this thread is doing speed normally. Is that good to do by itself? and if it is when should i do it, right after str/tackling?

nope. with that cap order, you are gonna want to do this:
train str/tkl until SPs+speed attribute=48 cap, and then use your SPs to cap it.
continue to pour SPs into strength to 68 cap while training tackling/speed.
continue to train tackling/speed until SPs+tackling attribute=48 cap, and then use your SPs to cap it.
continue to pour SPs into tackling to 68 cap while training speed/agility.
ect, ect... you should get the idea by this point.

when u say pour do u mean as soon as u get the SPs or do u save them?

Use them as you get them IMO. After the 48 cap, you wanna make sure you're getting the most out of ALG's.

yup, use them as you get them. at that point the math is the same whether or not use use them right away or save them to cap, so you may as well use them right now to get more production.

the only exception to this is if you intend on training the attribute above the cap. but usually only extremely one dimensional builds do that.

when your trained attribute + SP = 48, you start spending skill points in the stat.

So say you have tackling trained up to 28 and have 15 skill points. 28+15= 43... so don't spend them yet.

Then after a game, you level up, and get 5 more skill points, which puts you to 28+20=48. That is when you'd cap tackling to 48.

You'd swap your training to no longer include tackling, and prep other skills to be capped as you're spending skill points to take tackling the rest of the way to 68.
