How much strength do you think is "enough" for a power or combo back? Is having 90 strength (with equipment) the point where you start putting all your skill points and EQ points into speed?

I imagine there are diminishing returns with really high strength as you'll never be stronger than the strongest linemen and there might not be a huge difference between +40 strength and +50 strength compared to a linebacker.

Good question--anyone have opinions?

You want to have speed naturally higher. You can use equipment on Strength. HB's get a larger natural gain in speed/agility so get them up first.

I had a back that only had around 80 strength, but also had 80 carrying. 120+ strength. IMO that's a Power/combo back because he did have 12 in power thru + VA's.

I'd say getting strength naturally to 68 is plenty. You can move equipment over and drop from 120 speed to 112 and go with 76 strength etc. You obviously can get strength higher if you want, but I wouldn't go much higher than 74 because I'd rather get speed/agility naturally higher.

Honestly, it really depends on what you want your Power/combo back to do. BTW, there is a distinct differenc between a power and a combo back.

I'd get Strength between 90-100 and put the rest into Speed.

At the very least, I'd take strength to 73 naturally and let it get up near 80 through ALGs. It wouldn't be a bad idea to take it all the way up to 77 though. That just means that you'll have to put less EQ points into to strength and more into Speed.
