Should Ace Flames (#1) have won the MVP of Bort Baggins(#2)?
Both are HB's, both are relatively equal in terms of how much their team features/relies on them, Bort has convincingly better yardage (both raw and adjusted) despite almost 60 fewer carries, they have the same raw tds while Ace takes the lead when stats are adjusted (more on this in a second)... Ace has turned the ball over more.
Seems pretty close... I would give the edge to Bort based on that but you could argue for Ace.
That said... a closer look... Bort had 8 of his games adjusted because of blowouts while Ace only had 5. That is huge imo. Considering the facts above, I think there should be no question that Bort Baggins is your offensive MVP between these two players. Despite having 3 more games adjusted he still has more yardage and it is quite possible those extra adjusted games is what gives Ace more tds when looking at blowout adjusted stats.
