Was wondering if the older OPL guys still have bad feelings towards WSI. Anyone that knows the history of OPL knows what happened there.
What are your guys' thoughts?

Nahh..

Because they felt like Oceania Pro wasn't sufficient competition for them so they moved to USAPL.

They were what So Cal is now, the face of the region. And they bailed.

I have no issues towards WSI or Naut.

No issues on my end....and they were probably right to look to move, but moved too late and too many agents had lost interest by then.

I must say, I lol'd when they got creamed in USPL

They did wait too long to go. But I can understand that.
Don't have a real problem with them. I knew some of the guys a bit. .

Was just checking to see how everyone felt about it. I was looking into become a part of the organization. At the same time I have my own team moving up the Oceania ladder and plan on becoming part of the OPL league in the future. I am a huge believer in the region and am very loyal towards it. I would like to be a part of building a new reputation for Oceania as we continue to grow stronger as a region. I did not want it to be frowned apon once arriving if I was to be part of WSI. I feel as though the invaders were a huge part of OPLs past. It was a milestone in what it has become today.

Ah, thats where this is going. I like your reasoning for asking. But I don't think its a big deal despite the fact we're getting our collective asses handed to us by other leagues head to head play.
Personally I'd like to see more Oceania pride and unity in beefing up the teams that make it to the WL with the best players of other teams. Not all owners are for this but that just shows that people have different priorities. ie team before league. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that. Just that people have different goals in mind.

I had a couple players in the WSI farm system way back when. IF Naut hadn't left, 2 of them would be playing for that team now.

I never had a problem with those guys.

And honestly, I'm all for beefing up the league. Even though I might not agree with how the message is delivered, Madcow is right on about some of the teams coming up in the next season or two.

Any chance we get to grow stronger as a league, and a region, should be welcomed and encouraged.

look thats what I have been saying since i "arrived" the W/L made league like OPL relevant. Now all the good players/teams/GMs arent limiting themselves to CPL and USAPL, they are giving other regions a shot at hope of W/L..

No doubt. Like I said, I haven't disagreed with your message at all. I just think you could tone it down a tad. But hell, it's entertaining and people post, so it's all good.

Yea i dont mind being hated for the betterment of the forum. I started to revive yoru forums, next season ill work on your teams
