this is my LB's 1st year, my team is playoff bound. My question is ....

What would be a good year (stat wize) for a LB??

what would be a -great- year? (not talking Defensive player of the year or anything)

how many plays per game should i be at?

I'm not starting but seem to be the primary back in our 3-4 system (in other words i get as many plays per game as a normal starter.... even tho i am not really a starter.)

I consider what my player is doing this season is considered an average season. Also i`d aim for at least 20 plays every game but of course like anyone you want more.

40+ plays per game is pretty solid. if you finish a season with 100 tackles and a couple sacks, and 10 PDs thats pretty amazing as a young player. once you start playing in real leagues, 40 tackles 1 sack, 2 INTs, 15 PDs is pretty good.

typically its more based on scheme and position than anything. LOLBs dont get showy numbers, ROLBs get really high stats typically. depends how your DC uses your player and the league youre in.

What is the real leagues?(this is my 1st year>.< anything above casual i'm guessing?? and i'm not sure i fully understand the difference in 'showy numbers' and 'high stats'? again would guess you mean tkls versus like Ints and sacks. Is there one that give more experience than another?(is a sack worth more EXP than a tkl?)

Thanks for the info guys! You're a big help, been watching my pt fluctuate a lot and just making sure someone gets the shaft! err i mean less pt than i do...>.>...lol!

In my LBs first year he currently has 144 tackles, 14 sacks and 5 PDs. I'm first in MVP voting as well.

"real leagues" are anything around AAA. LOLBs are going to have less all around stats, maybe more PDs or INTs. ROLBs typically get all the glory (tackles and sacks). i believe XP is all related to playing time except if you win by a blowout you get max XP.
