So, everybody loves to take credit for their wins with "tactics." Maybe nobody will answer mid-season, or ever, but how much do you ACTUALLY gameplan during the regular season?

--

Guess: <20% through AAA was what I was seeing. I'm still going to guess 40% at most in Pro.

For us, it's a big part of what we do and any success we have...even in the regular season.

Pretty sure there are teams out there with better pure builds than us over the last few seasons that we've been able to out perform.

We have some great dots, but overall I'd say most are more solid than spectacular.

But my two Coordinators work as hard at what they do as anybody I've seen in this game, and a huge amount of our success is predicated on that and the cooperation of our agents.

May not be the flashiest thing to admit, but it's who we are.

I don't work super hard tbh. This is like the 1st game I've game planned for. Sure, I've game planned for others, but not as much as this game (KCG vs Queensland)

If we (Yellowknife) didn't gameplan, there's no way we'd ever win a game with ancient S1 dots. Not like we'll win a game for the rest of the season anyway...

Not as much as I used to, and really only dig into things for some very specific games.

Need to put a percentage on liars. If you don't game plan at this level you lose. If you are good that you don't have to game plan then you are a hold over with much higher level players--don't think that is applicable at this level.

I've got a couple levels of gameplanning depending on the matchup. Typically not full-bore till playoffs though, but the whole method can cause me to underestimate/overestimate teams. DCs probably game planning longer and more often than OCs ... at least that's what i see when i scout.

Before the decline on Yellownknife, the only game planning I'd do specifically for a team was if they had a rushing QB or HEAVILY focused on either the pass or run. Otherwise I have a base defense that gets adjsuted only as I tweak DPC plays or add/remove ones based on what I'm seeing with the sim.

Edit: The defense took 2+ seasons of tweaking to get it to the point I could let it run itself and a solid group of dots that fit the game plan perfectly.

I just change the DPC plays from game to game for the games all the way up to Queensland. The fact that we are 10-1 is beyond me.

I'll admit that our coordinators have put exactly 0.00% effort into game planning for today's game...

...it's a bittersweet kind of thing, but I miss Duke Nukem.

I've made adjustments for every game this season, I guess you can call that gameplanning
