1. Graz Grizzlies 9-0 W9 (2)
Yeah this is my team and yes I have "us" at No. 1. But Graz has just been dominating from W1 and are still going strong.

2. Parma Panthers 9-0 W9 (1)
At first I was convinced that Graz had been a lot more dominating than Parma had these first 9 weeks, but then I really started looking at the scores and Parma has been equal dominating. A few close games, but still winning all of them. This is pretty much a tie for 1st place and I do believe we will have two 14-0 teams battle it out in W15!

3. Naples Purple Nurples 8-1 W4 (4)
That D has been terrifying! They still have quite a few great teams left to face off against with a back loaded schedule. Doom, Underground, Stallions, Panthers and E-City all coming up.

4. E-City Mercenaries 7-2 W5 (7)
Big riser in the rankings, but E-City has always been a great team and now they are a great team on a 5 game winning streak. Last two weeks was huge wins for the Mercenaries and that win over Tulsa will help them gain home field in the playoffs. Next two games will be tough and W16 against Nurples will be huge.

5. Tulsa Doom 7-2 W1 (3)
The Doom is still having a great first pro season, but they have been shown the ropes by two old timers. They are still a strong contender for home field, but with at least 4 playoff teams left in their schedule it will be a tough road to travel.

6. Kaohsiung Casino Royale B&B 6-3 W1 (5)
Last 3 games was not kind to the Casino losing big to Naples and Graz. Still they have only lost to the 9-0 teams so far and this does bode well for the newcomers. They have a very tough 7 games to play with MVB, Doom, Underground and Stallions left. Their win over the Popes was a great morale boost for this long road to stardom and playoffs.

7. London Underground 5-4 L3 (6)
Losing to Birmingham?! After you kept it so close with Parma? I'm nothing short of bewildered about this team. If you want to be in the playoffs, you can't lose to a 0-7 team. I've said a few teams have a back-loaded schedule, but none more so than London. Last 5 games is survival for the Underground.

8. Italian Stallions 4-5 W1 (10)
Now we are talking here. Still recovering, but I'm seeing progress.

9. Vatican City Fighting Popes 4-5 L1 (8)
I like this team, I really like what they have done so far. Not only have they won a few good games, but they have lost to only better teams and not in a big way. Still a long way from being a top team in Alpha, but they are getting there.

10. Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks 4-5 L2 (9)
Great wins over Stallions and Demons, but have lost too many games by a too big margin. Still lacking that final edge to cut it with the top teams, but I have hope for them.

11. Fareham Demons 3-6 W2 (12)
Two great wins Demons and you kept it very close with MVB and Casino. Still two more wins to come this season and you are looking right at that No. 9 spot!

12. Burnt Orange Rising 2-7 L2 (13)
I think you can rule out relegation for BOR, but this won't be a pretty season for them. W14 & W15 is must win games.

13. Boston Punks 2-7 L1 (14)
Still close to winning games, but attitude and spiky hair isn't enough to win games.

14. Birmingham Beavers 1-8 L1 (16)
Very very very big win. That is just the kind of spoiler effect teams like this can have and I love it. The Beavers are better than their record would suggest and I must say I do think next season could be big for you wood-loving creatures!

15. Windsor Nobles 1-8 L3 (11)
Gave you a lot of credit last time for that win over MVB and I still do think that was a big game for you lot. You are very similar to the Beavers that you keep games close but end up losing the majority of them. I have hope for both of you.

16. Seville Golden Eagles 0-9 L9 (15)
Meh.

Thanks for the write up. I understand the Nurps being 3 but I wish it was more like 2.5, We were really close to beating you Graz. Came down to that stupid INT in the final 2 minutes. Looking forward to the 2nd half of the season. Our D is pretty good but hoping to turn it on even more in the 2nd half.

Can't vouch for you guys but I will be surprised if we make it past Naples and E-City unscathed. (And there are no guarantees that someone else won't pull an upset, but those two games I'd put down as coin flips more or less.)

I'd actually argue that Naples has a better league resume than we do at this point, and if their out-of-league competition has been at all serious business, we've got a lot more evidence that they're a good team. You guys have knocked out three teams at the top of Alpha (Naples, KCR, and E-City) pretty solidly; your scrimmage schedule has been rougher and it shows. We're just starting our tough out-of-league matchups now, and we've arguably only got the two quality wins with Tulsa and KCR--and you beat our one common opponent far more decisively.

Pretty sure Naples deserves that #2 spot right now, and I'd only give Parma a #3 provisionally, depending on whether we can hang with the Hood and KCG over this weekend...if we can't E-City has a case for that #3 spot in the rankings.

As always, I appreciate the work even if I think you're overrating us.

Both 9-0 teams have a great deal of work ahead of them until the playoffs. But with 9 wins, playoffs is just around the corner. 9-7 or better is a playoff spot worthy IMO. And I don't look at scrimmages or pre-season, only the league games count. Its not often that a team with a worse records gets a higher spot in my rankings. A win is still a W more than the other team. And well winning means a lot. Only when you have two or more teams with the same record do I really look at who they'd faced and how well they did compared to the other teams. And as we go down the rankings I also look at who each team lost to and how big.

In W12 when I do my next rankings, it will be a very different story and these rankings will be mixed up quite well.

We should try to drop to 2 then, not the Stallions again.

Sadly for you and the Stallions, there is a LONG way to the playoffs!
