Dimmy Finster does not guarantee accuracy at all. Just that they
are a little better than his original rankings.

1. Queensland. The best rushing game, a great passing game, 7 points given up, and the endorsement of SquareEnix. No doubt the #1 team right now

2. Saskatoon. Dominant win over a good Texas team in week 1, also owns a big win over Cobden in preseason. I discount their losses in scrims, I know these guys a little and they are the type to dump worthless scrims to avoid tipping their hand. They've done a great job of recruiting, and appear to be better than the championship team of last season.

3. Winnipeg. At 2-1? They did lose to a strong team in Hudson Bay in week 1. But they beat a good Windsor Walrus team in week 3 by a dominant score. My knowledge of this team says that they are not always gameplanning hard, so my guess is they made some adjustments after week 1. They do have a great roster.

4. KC. 3-0, big wins over Paradise, which is decent, I think. Lost a close game to Alpine, which is good. Lost some big games against USA Pro, showing they're not quite elite.

5. Moose Jaw 3-0, but not dominant anywhere. Not a strong SOS so far.

6. Thunder Bay Wolverines. Stronger than I had thought, they do have a nice dominating win over Tadoussac.

7. Windsor Walruses. 0-3, but I still think this is a good team.

8. Windsor Black Knights. Also stronger than I thought, they're still active and kicking,
unlike many teams that seem to have folded up.

9. St John's Salty Dogs. I think they thought they'd be 3-13, but a lot of teams loook to be rebuilding also. A cut below playoff, but a cut above some of the others. Signature win over North Delta.

10 North Delta - They're self deprecating, but they did beat Moncton. Unfortunately tournament play has not shown them to be a strong team.

11. MOncton Clearly not the powerhouse they once were, but does have a win over a Nebraska. A mix of guys in decline and attempting to rebuild on the fly.

12 Nebraska. I may have them too low. They do have a win over SquareEnix in the preseason.

13. Tadoussac. Just not their year.

14. RCKY - not an impressive performance yet.

15. Manitoba, CPU

16. Thunderbay, CPU

Dimmy Finster refers to himself in the third person. Dimmy Finster is greatly appreciated for his efforts in compiling a weekly rankings post for the Western Conference. Dimmy Finster is a CPL noob.

Take this for what it's worth.

You've greatly underestimated curtishall06 and the Kansas City Gorillas. Despite the talent of the Exiles, Silverbacks, and Roughriders...the Gorillas are a Top 2 team. I'd put them right after Queensland (1) and ahead of Saskatoon (3) and Moose Jaw (4).

You said, "I may have them too low" when referring to IlligINC's Nebraska Husker Maniacs. You're correct. I've competed against NHM since Season 3 and it's the same story from Illig every season...he'll claim all year that, "We're ranked too high. The Husker Maniacs suck." Don't be fooled, they're off to a slow start, but you need to reserve one of the eight playoff spots for them.

Then there's the North Delta Huskies. husk16 led this team to the inaugural CPL West Championship back in Season 1, then again in Season 10. They've tasted victory, they've been to the World League, and you're going to see them in the playoffs.

Lastly, the St. John's Salty Dogs. You had them at #12 in your first set of rankings, now they're ninth? They've beaten exactly one team...by a field goal. The B-Tard Sons of Doug Flutie aren't trying, the Thunder Bay Bloodhounds are gutted, and even a blind dog finds a bone once in a while (i.e. they got lucky against the Huskies). If they don't gut before the Manitoba game, they may still go 4-12...but that's only good for 13th in the rankings.

Again, thanks for the effort.

I would agree about these veteran teams. KCG, NHM, and NDH are all formidable opponents that cannot be taken lightly. I expect at least 2 out of 3 to go deep into the playoffs.

Way too high... We are looking to make the playoffs and see if we can hang with the big boys.

Thanks Dimmy, interesting read as always.

After pouring over film of Queensland and scouting their roster, I can say those guys are scary good...hope we can make it interesting.

Not sure where those guys got exiled from but I'd hate to meet the dudes that were able to do that to them.

NDH will not go deep in the play-offs, hopefully we can make it.

Thanks for the time Dimmy and FL

KC has an elite coaching staff for sure. Tricon, Curtishall, eastcoastbrian (stepping in for bhall).
They probably have the most famous GM's in Canada Pro.

But don't understimate that of the Silverbacks. DC Rellascout has been pro a long time and pretty
much single handedly won the AAA championship last year. OC ReMeDy is a two time AAA champion
as OC and had a big hand in big upsets in those championships. Owners redrayder and mikekile
are REALLY good builders and redrayder is a good OC too.

They're new to Pro, but trust me they're good.

blasphemy, at 0-3 we should be ranked just above the CPU teams and with the way we played last game maybe they are better than us.

Thank you to some of the posters for the kind words about NDH. It has been tough for the franchise to recover since we lost agent BigRatUno and his 35+ players on the team. We have really struggled in the recruiting department, I don't know how some of you convince these guys. We decided to go the youth route and were lucky to have CPU and disbanding teams to allow us to stay in CPL. We do have a good group of players, but we are probably still a season away. I think we will challenge for a playoff spot but we will need great tactics to do so. We are clearly not a World League team (our scrimmage losses).
Big thanks to jxgator for helping NDH become competitive again.

The Huskies will be a force to be recogned with again.

Thanks for the kind words, you're all class as always Dimmy.

Now we all we have to do is go out and make you look smart against QE (YIKES!). Dudes look scary so far.
