Well I took a bit on this one and have a few games down, but still none the less here it is! Zeta's finest 1 through 16!

Zeta

Note: My teams ranked 1-3 are really interchangeable and can be flipped...

#1. Berlin Kreuzberg Red Stars
Seen these guys in the past with having ties with the RAVING MAD DAWGS that are no longer with us... Moving on, Berlin has had a solid squad season after season since coming on the seen of Oceania back in season 10. These gents made the conference title game in season 10, 11, and 13 only to lose to some pretty tough opponents and out of those three losses the team to beat them went on to win the title 1 time. Berlin being ran by their owner bearstightend which supports a great team by the way, DA Bears! found him self this season with a tough opener against Alphas #6 EEA and rising only to lose to them 40 to 13. Need less to say, Berlin may have just had a down game, or Otega, bug, and crew just simply out planned them? Either way not taking any thing away from EEA Berlin was simply beat by a beater team that day. Look for Berlin to make some noise and fight for a top spot in Zeta through-out the season!

#2. College Town NWA Feeble Minds
As always Chop and his *cough* fine *cough* group of GMs come to Zeta hoping to wreck havoc and get another shot at a title! the Feebs having their second season in OPL in which their first season was not a bad one at all! College Town went 12 and 4 with one of the losses to one of the tops in Alpha last season the #3 Christchurch Fighting Maori 30 to 31! The Feebs made it all the way to the second round of the playoffs to face the much favored #1 Berlin Stars losing just by a whole 3 points.... Very nice first season in OPL gents! Feebs came out the gate this season with once again a tough opponent facing Alpha's pre-ranked according to me the #1 GCMM and with hope going for a bit of an upset... In the end College Town fell to GCMM 37 to 19. The feebs moved on to take out their frustrations out on the #9 Samoa Savages putting a beat town 47 to 7. This season College Town will have to fight it out between 4 other teams in my mind to be able to call them selves tops in Zeta.

#3 Moscow Mad Cows
A team that is much better than may be many think and will give every single team here in Zeta a headache if not scouted! The Mad Cows come into OPL for their first season and will have a tough road a head, but a winnable one for sure! Last season the Mad Cows of Moscow taking AAA Zeta by storm as they only lost two games, one to Prague Velvet Revolution in which is causing me to scratch my head because they were demoted? what the hell!? And the other team was that of #5 Razorback Nation, Moscow end up playing for the League Title only to be beat by the surprising 5th seed of Alpha that season #7 Three Mile Island that is one of the youngest teams in OPL... None the less Moscow opened up the season with the same team that beat them for the title, it may not be be as sweet as a title win, but Moscow handle business quiet easily 40 to 14.

#4. Atlantis Lost Souls
Regardless of what Eazy E/Deion Sanders tells me, I think the dude is running a pretty damn good squad there in Atlantis! May be some of you owners think I am off my track knowing that the Lost Souls sort of lost their way last season going 7 and 9 and missing the playoffs, but don't let that fool you, this squad is different this season I believe and if you think you can sneak by this group regardless of who you are with out game planning you are wrong! The Lost Souls are 0 and 2 thus far having a very tough opener with the Alpha at the time #4 Indy Gurupies losing 10 to 40 only to get another loss at the hands of #1 Red Stars.... Tough road thus far, but I am not counting these guys out what so ever yet!

#5. Razorback Nation
Razorback Nation... let me guess, an Arkansas fan much? Anyways. Razorback Nation looks to be a pretty stout squad coming into their first season in OPL. Last season the Razorback's had a pretty successful season... of course... going undefeated through out the regular season only to lose in the playoffs to #3 Mad Cows of Moscow I am sure these guys have that game circled on their schedule! but I hope they don't over look anyone here, (beside the CPU team) other wise it will spell a L... None the less the Razorbacks have look very tough so far and will be a mistake to take them lightly! Go TIde... just kidding a Big Ten fan anyways.

#6. Guam Gorillas
After the top 5 it sort of falls off a bit... just a bit though, with this being said, I would not overlook any of these other teams! Especially not the Gorillas, the Guam Gorillas coming up on their 3rd season in OPL and have had mild success since being here... The Gorillas had a very tough opener against a top from Alpha in the #5 Death Dealers in which they had trouble keeping it close and end up losing 47 to 10. The Gorillas may have their first chance to make the playoffs since being in OPL and will have to fight tooth and nail to make sure they don't get bumped out! Good luck gentlemen!

#7 Vanuatu Volcano
Vanuatu which are some islands to the north east of Australia... Not sure how much football is there, but I am all for it! On fortunately the Volcano's have been erupting causing a major meltdown with this team since it has been in Oceania, which their first season was in season 11 and have yet to make the playoffs since... this may be a bad spot to have them, but the teams below them are not making much of a case yet to pass them. Last season was horrid for this squad as they only won 3 regular season games... The crew from Vanuatu will have one of their best chance to make the playoffs since they have been here... many will have some to say about that, but will it be enough!?

#8 Samoa Savages
The Savages come into to OPL lead by their owner Steelrain72 for their second season. Their first season here was a bit rough as they went 11 and 5 and missed the playoffs, yet still won Tourney? Not sure what Association Tournament is or who played in it... Suppose I could look it up... could. None the less the Savages come in to this season with a bit of a better chance for success yet will be a tough, tough road and making the playoffs will be much harder than it appears. Good luck Steel to you and your crew.

#9 Port Moresby Scallywags
Love the damn name still, the Scallywags... Let me bring in a player just to be a damn Scallywag! Alright, here is the run down... This team had some damn good talent last time I seen them in AAA which was in season 12 in which they made it to the Conference Title game, but got beat out by the #2 Feebs their next season or first season in OPL they had some success and made it to the playoffs only to face the number one seed in the #1 Red Stars This season they come in with a good squad, but it is a bit thin with a player count of just 45... If this team put some depth on their depth chart they could be trouble for some teams... until then don't look for then look at them as a sleeper.

#10 Booty Island Green Goblins
This the Green Goblins second season in OPL and if their first season can be looked at you would say that OPL was spider man to the Green Goblins as they only one 3 games... This season the may be just as rough for the Booty Bandits as they are also thin at their depth chart only having 45 players, the Green Goblin crew could create problems if they could get their depth chart issues cleared up, but don't look for them making the playoffs this season and may be getting bumped down on the rankings list by mid season...

#11 Rekohu Raptors
The Raptors come to OPL this season for their first time and right off the bat face internal issues with their open having to face one of their own and having to replace their DC with a back up... The Raptors can compete, but will have their hands full and will struggle to make the playoffs, but it is possible! I will leave it at that... I have work to do!

#12 Samoa Flying Foxes
Too bad seeing the Foxes this low as it looks like they had some holes to fill with the decline hitting. The Foxes lead by Owner Kingofgod has had his squad in OPL since season 11 after winning the Oceania AAA crown in season 10. The Foxes will struggle this season, but could be a factor to a number 9 seed trying to get in to the playoffs.

#13. Tuvalu Matadors
At one time this team was pretty nasty in AAA, at one time... But this is OPL I guess and have struggle so far and will look to be a rough, rough season for the Matadors that only a season ago were one of my favorites to win Zeta in AAA as they made it to the second round of the playoffs to get beat by the #14 Port Vila Mutiny which has fallen from grace also thus far! I hope these teams can get back on the winning track or at least make 500 this season... Good luck gents!

#14 Port Vila Mutiny
Port Vila once was a team that had a pretty stout D in the past, but has only been spinning their wheels so far this season and the wheels have unfortunately been spinning in reverse at that... Last season the Mutiny made it to the Conference Title game to take a tough loss at the hands of the #12 Rekohu Raptors in which is another team having a tough season so far.... The Mutiny will hope to turn back to their better days of a strong D, but I believe that it will struggle to do so, I hope to see this crew make it to the 500 mark if possible. GL this season.

#15 Guadalcanal Gunners
The gunners are one of the lower level teams in OPL along with Alpha's #7 Three Mile Island, but I don't see this group sharing the same amount of success as TMI... It is going to be a long season for the Gunners, but sticking together and preparing for next season may be the best thing they can do! Good luck next season as I think your squad could make some noise in OPL if still here.

#16 Sydney Sea Dragons
Not much you can do when your full of CPU players, good luck with your rebuild Sea Dragons, come back soon gents!

Sorry about the lateness and spelling errors here... just wanted to get the shit done and it took me longer than I wanted it to... Calc in the morning is not fun... oh well! Good luck this season ore in Zeta!

Also after scouting Zeta, I really believe now that Alpha > Zeta... sorry gents to many what ifs here!

I have no doubt the Gunners will return strong once their rebuilding is done, johnbarber is one of the better owners around and I am not just talking about OPL.

And yes, Calculus in the morning sucks without a doubt (and pretty much any other time too).

Great writeup! Thanks for doing this, josh!

I don't buy Rekohu being ranked only at #11, though Any team with jljend as a GM and agent puts fear into my heart... speaking of fear: The Mad Cows have Quas and bovnok on their staff, and I have yet to win a game against any of their teams. They're old friends from Canada BBB#14, in which the Red Stars started out initially.

Really looking forward to seeing how the season unfolds!

This. I barber. They'll be a team to be feared next season once he starts game planning - one of the best I've ever seen.

I don't know much about the owner... but I did look at their past and I am sure you all are right about them sure they will rise again after their rebuild.

Razorback Nation actually lost to the Prague Velvet Revolution in a pretty big upset in the 2nd round, not to Moscow. Even though Prague got demoted they did beat the two best teams in zeta AAA last season.

Thanks a bunch for a great write up!
