Hey everyone,

Theres a thread like this in A5 that looks at the games being played every week and follows the league. I think if I do something similar it will help me stay up to speed on some of the great teams in this league. So without further delay:

This is SportsCenter.

We'll start out with the west since its the conference I'm most familiar with.

Honolulu Warriors v Los Angeles Sweetness

Not much to say here. The Warriors are back stronger than ever and they open the season hosting the Sweetness. The sweetness hasnt added much since last season, look for this to be an absolute blowout.

49-0 Warriors

Hollywood Stars v BC Lions

The Stars will be gunning for the Wiz all season and anyone in their way will probably be mowed down. The Lions have the players and the depth, but they wont slow down the Stars.

35-3 Stars

Oakland Terror v El Paso Bandits

The Terror look much improved since last season. They've picked up some talent but they have a long way to go to prove themselves in a tough western conference. I think in the end, the Bandits' strong receiving corp will win the day.

16-10 Bandits

Houston Panthers v Omaha Shockers

The Shockers open up against a relegated team from A5. They look to continue their strong play but they're gonna need more than just that to survive in the west. One look at the panthers and you can see why they were the bottom of the higher conference. Those CPU players will not hold up.

24-7 Shockers

Cary Carpetbaggers v Riverside Renegades

Both Cary and Riverside are out to prove themselves and they're both much improved. This looks like it will come down to who has the better gameplan. Although I'm a little concerned about Cary's lower leveled second string, they pulled some upsets last season.

20-16 Cary

Houston Outlaws v Scranton Tunas

The Tunas had a lot of rebuilding to do from the disastrous start of Season 2. They're much improved but still lack some depth. From the looks of things, the Outlaws have been making moves and improving as well. That level 22 FS is one scary dude. The fact that many of Scranton's players havent hit that lvl 16 threshold will hurt them in this game.

27-14 Outlaws

South Texas Thunder v Elite Sea Team

Looks like the one man army has opened his season boosting his players to level 16. This will certainly give him the edge in this contest. The Sea team will have to rely on that excellent passing offense to try to pull off the win. Lets see if last year's star receiver, Djie Up! can continue making waves.

24-21 Thunder

TEAM Chuck Norris v Kansas City Wiz

Well the Wiz made a dramatic playoffs run to close out their season last year. Look for them to continue their outstanding performance. Chuck Norris has a long way to go before they'll be able to compete with the Wiz.

35-0 Wiz

Nice write up!

I think the games of the week for week 1 are the Thunder v Elite Sea and Cary v Riverside. Those should be some barn-burners!

BC looks to be improved over last season. Have to see what they can do with it now. Oakland also made some good moves and should be more competitive later in the season, and even Chuck Norris made some nice upgrades. Oakland and Chuck Norris are both still lagging a bit in over all talent, but that gap will narrow as the season progresses. Los Angeles made a ton of roster moves and are in a similar position now as Oakland and Team Norris.

It's hard to break down the top half of the West. Everyone is just too evenly matched going into the opening quarter of the season!

Fixed that for ya! *waves at the Tunas*

It's gonna be a dogfight against Riverside. We really hoped we could get the win against them last season and build some momentum. However, almost three hundred yards of running literally plowed us under. Mellon Head and their backs were beastly! We had pulled even at 10 all going into the 4th and had the momentum. Riverside went up a TD, but we were getting the ball back after two great run stops and a pass deflection on third down...

...however it just wasn't meant to be. Tater Head made a great hit on the punt return to force a fumble and Melon Head recovered. The game was over after Riverside burned the clock and kicked a FG to put the game out of reach.

It was a great game, but after having dropped all 4 to the fantastic four and coming off of brutal beatings Omaha and Team Sea our morale was bottoming out and we just couldn't finish in the fourth quarter.

After winning all four scrimmages, upsetting the Tuna's, pushing the Wiz to the limits (leading going into the 4th) and leading ATCT at the half we have gotten our morale back up and looking for a fresh start. We were without a doubt the best 4-12 team in BBB#9 last season. Maybe our town should throw us a parade

A few of our starters moved on to other teams, but we're hoping the back ups can move up to pick up the slack this year. Should be a good game to start the season.

We're still suffering from a split personality - we can't decide if we're Southern California or South Louisiana.

Okay, I dont know much about the east since I've never had the opportunity to play them. So most of this will be based on levels and what I know from last season. But bear with me here and be sure to include your input.

Had some trouble w/ my keyboard so thats why this post is a bit delayed but here we go.

The Eastern Conference.

Chicago Dire Wolves v Miami Carniceros

Both teams look solid when you're peeking at the starting lineups, but a look at the second string players tells the fate of this matchup. Those CPUs on the Carnicero depth chart are definitely going to drag them down. Look for the Wolves to pull away as the game progresses. As a side note... I have no idea why theres a kicker on the Wolves' NT depth chart.

12-10 Wolves

Pittsburgh Irons v Indianapolis Gangsters

The Irons have made a lot of changes in the offseason and, correct me if i'm wrong, but look like they're under new ownership. Dont look for the same team that went 2-14. That said, the Gangsters seem to have only gotten stronger since last season's defeat at the hands of the Doom. The Irons are going to be hard pressed to score a single point against that defense.

21-0 Gangsters

Palmyra Cougars v Montpelier Morticians

While both of these teams look good on paper, I have no idea whats going on in the coaches' offices. The depth charts are a mess. In the end, the Morticians are going to ride on their running game which should have some success against a relatively weak Cougar front line.

17-10 Morticians

Charlotte Clamjousters v Cleveland Steamer

Cleveland has put together a pretty solid team since their disappointing first season. However, the Clamjousters have the depth to put them on their backs to start the year. The jousters have been talking all offseason about making a splash in the eastern conference. The season opener is a good chance for them to show that they're not all talk.

17-13 Clamjousters

Miami Sharks v Tampa Elite

Tampa's got a whole lot of high level players in the starting lineup and on the depth chart. The Sharks are going to need a good gameplan to make up for their weaknesses in their receiving corp. With Tampa's low team chemistry, this game could be closer than the levels suggest.

14-10 Elite

Nashville Dores v New York Doom

The Doom have a heck of a team and rival the Gangsters in talent and the Clamjousters in smacktalk. They play the team relegated to the east from A5. With all those CPUs in Nashville, this will be a walk in the park for the Doom.

52-0 Doom

Ho Playbook v Albany Mammoths

Albany looks like its going through a development season with a bunch of low level players as backups on their team. They'll find it hard to contain Playbook's level 20 WR. This guy may be the fastest player in BBB #9 with a carrying bar in the green. Ho has a really solid team. The Doom and Gangsters need to watch their backs.

31-6 Playbook

St. Louis Beer Barons v Radio City Irrelevants

Both team certainly have the players on offense but the Irrelevants lack depth on defense. The Beer Barons are another team that will make an impact in the east this season. This should a comfortable win for the Beer Barons.

16-7 Beer Barons

Thats all for this week. Look for this weeks analysis sometime tonight after the games.
