3-4 in the hands of a good DC can be very successful.....its a fact.

We run a pure 3-4 defense and I think we were quite successful. We still have a lot to prove before we can be mentioned with the big boys (gold league teams) but it's not a bad defense if you know what you are doing. This is despite the fact that we had couple of bad builds in our D-line. One went all agility and another had AEQ and was lagging behind others in overall attributes.

It is true that 4-3 defense is a more solid formation but I think it's more susceptible to big plays compare to 3-4. I haven't checked but I don't think we ever allowed more than 30 yards in one play last season.

I like the 3-4 as well. If you think it sucks please don't use it against my team
