Like the title says. Instead of going towards the regular LB VA's how about the DE type VA's. My guy is right under the weight for "HeavyWeight" but what about "Technique Man", "Pass Rusher", "Jump The Snap". My guy looks like hes going to be playing ROLB this season. Or even TrackStar and Quick. He will get +4 to speed on his next equipment upgrade once the season starts to bring it to 104.

Thanks
Josh

I wouldnt go track star or quick ever. To many good VAs. Technique man and jump the snap I dont like for LBs. LBs need to run free at the QB. They never break blocks well no matter what. I don like pass rusher though.

doesnt jump the snap only apply to D line because it specifies that

I've had JTS before...I think it works, but it's not good enough anymore to justify the encroachment penalties that come with it because of hard count.

So basically the regular LB VA's for a blitzing ROLB ?

TM is definitely an option, but I would work on getting your tackling up to 60+ so you can utilize DvG as well.

And I'd rather have Football Genius than JTS

He does have Football Genius invested to 15 right now. I just can't justify David vs Goliath on a LB. He weighs 221 pounds and it only fires on players heavier or stronger. Once I boost and training the next week, His strength will be 60/61 and tackling 58 or vica versa.

So for David vs Goliath with my LB, the ball carrier would have to be 222 pounds or heavier and 61 strength or more. With half of the HB's if not more being elusive, combo, speed backs and not powerbacks. I don't see it useful with the limited amount of time TE's or FB's see the ball in this game.

Powerbacks have the advantage right now though so even if it only helps against that you might get more out of it than something else especially if you want to play on power tackler.

I use pass rusher on my blitzing ROLB. It's pretty good if you blitz on 3rd/4th down although it's hard to tell how much it really works, but I'm pretty sold on it helping at least a little. I tried technique man in the pre-season and I couldn't really tell if it works at all, but my pre-season games weren't very competitive.

I also had fearsome this season and that's really impossible to tell if it does anything so I'm probably going to drop that.

I'd definitely go pass rusher over technique man for a speed blitzing OLB. I'd only go with technique man if you plan on having 70+ strength and >100 agility.

I think technique man goes off of natural numbers so if you have like 80 natural agility you might be okay...but a lot of the high level linemen are starting to get like 74 natural at some point so you'd need even higher.

TM utilizes equipment. Bort has stated this already. It also utilizes VA's like quick etc... but it does not utilize temp bonuses like pass rusher/pass blocker, protector etc etc.

Actually I guess 100 agility is more than enough. Over 92 or 93 should be ok.
