Can you have to much in tight spiral? I have 7 in tight spiral but just got a aeq with Tight Spiral that will add 4 or 5 more in tight spiral = 11 or 12 once upgraded to my lvl.

Too much? No, you can't have too much. I wouldn't increase it with SP any further if you buy that piece, though.
